Excellent video demonstration! Your close-up photography is perfect and is enhanced but the captions and audio instructions. I can imagine many other situations where this technique would be useful and can’t wait for the next installment when you will tell us all about them. Thank you so much for your attention to detail and time commitment to sharing with us!

Great information! I'm a visual learner and this was very clear to me. I can see this would be helpful when the project is made with a busy colored yarn.

Thank you! An experienced knitter I messed up my finished socks when I could not make the Kitchener stitch correctly! Holly

Excellent video, Roxanne! Thank you. Glad to learn an alternate grafting for toes as I’m never quite happy with the look of the standard method (as I’m able to do it). Toe-up socks are great, but not the only option for graft-phobic knitters. 😊

The first time I tried this, we were watching something on the computer; so I did it from memory. Bad idea! When I removed the chimney, 75% of the stitches weren't secured. I picked them up and knit-grafted them. I did, however, use the toe chimney successfully after reviewing your video.

I'm glad you were able to rescue it and that it worked out!

I like your curved needle. That actually duplicates the Kitchener, done easily.

When you tucked the red chimney into the green sock toe, it looked a little like Kermit the Frog!

Great tutorial. I’m always in a quandry knowing where to weave in the ends. Any suggestions? nycSox

I usually run my yarn needle through the backs of purl stitches at an angle for several rows (on the sole), and then weave in for 5 or 6 sts, using reverse duplicate stitch.
@GrapeApe20186 жыл бұрын
What needle method did you use? I have learned on 9 inch circulars and the last decrease row is a #&%$#! To do once, I can't see repeating it did more times?
@christines19246 жыл бұрын
Not as clearly stated as you usually do, Roxanne. I've done this before but I was getting confused by your instructions because more precise terminology wasn't used (ie, too many pronouns without knowing to what they were referring).
