I was this many years old when Roxanne taught me how to solve something that bugged me when I knit my first square to make a dress for my Barbie at about 9 or 10 years old! And that was a looooong time ago. Thanks, Rox, and thanks YT for showing this in my feed!

I've been knitting for several years now, but I'm learning so much from you in the last few days! Thank you for that video, Roxanne! You're my new heroe 🙂

Like magic! I am not nearly as good a knitter as you for sure but you just solved one of my biggest pet peeves! My corners always annoy me when they stick out. I just knit a few rows and did the last stitch as you showed and it looks perfect! Thank you for sharing so much with your channel! I cannot believe it never occurred to me to do this before. I keep looking at my little swatch and smiling!

You never fail! Just when I need a solution, there you are with the perfect technique! I mean I’m exactly at that spot in my project where I need to slip that stitch. A day later would have been too late, as I’m not about to think back a bind off Row. Thank you so much! How about a coffee?😊

Very interesting, especially as I had read the TKGA instructions on binding off to mean that the yarn should be threaded through the last stitch and not pulled through. 🤔

I have a baby blanket in process... I added a new skein and the color way was darker but I kept knitting, now I don’t like the color change ( my yarn is variegated in color). Can you, or do you have a video to rip back knitting about 2” ?

Hey Roxanne, I followed exactly how you did it, and I still had a very loose last stitch, even before binding off and I am so frustrated that I could scream! I just can’t get this right! Help!

A great tip as always. Thanks. Say I've bound off 300 stitches and at the end realize I forgot to slip the first stitch which is now my last stitch. Now what? I'm sure you have a trick that or two for that dilemma too. No way is tinking the bind off and a long row a great solution. I want to know your fix since I already know what I would do.
@RoxanneRichardson5 жыл бұрын
I would just do the other aspects of the finish, which is to pull the tail out of the last BO chain, and run it down through the first garter bump on the edge. You can do a lot to control that corner based on the way you weave in the ends.
@CassieDA175 жыл бұрын
Great tip as usual! The Slip stitch edge knit-wise was a great tip too for the edge of garter. I just made a baby cardigan and it said to slip stitch the edge but didn't say knit wise or purl wise and I picked the wrong one- didn't get that bump. Idea for a technique Tuesday (if you haven't previously done this) - I've noticed while working flat stockinette that every once in a while I get a row of stitches that looks almost skewed. I've laddered down and looked at the stitch and it's fine, not twisted. So I think it may be a tension issue? Maybe while purling on the wrong side? I've only been knitting for about a year and it's mostly in the round. I typically have pretty even stitches and I'm not the kind of person to leave mistakes in. This "skewed row" is really bothering me and I don't know how to fix it. Will blocking help? I can send a picture if that helps to describe the problem as I haven't frogged the project yet.
