Am I the only person who would like a METAL shaft, not a plastic one? I can't seem to get it tight enough - it wiggles. However, I love and rely on your tutorials. Bless you and thank you.

Jinka1950 No you're not the only one. I'm not fond of the plastic shank either. I haven't had it loosen on me as I sew, however it's very easy to over tighten it. This makes the foot off center. I will be exploring my options in a metal shank soon.

Hi Judy. I checked around and was unable to find the presser foot sold separately only in the larger kits. Keep in mind you will need a different shank for using this foot on you 9960. The bonus foot collection came with that shank.

HI knittysong. No the 9960 is a standard low shank machine. Call Singer and they can direct you to where to purchase another plastic shank.

so this machine does not have clip on feet? they must be unscrewed each time you want to change them?

HI Sif. Most of the feet for this machine are snap on using one of the 2 shanks included with your machine. You can also use screw on feet made for low shank machines.
