I guess when Gregory got zapped by the arcade, Glitchtrap try to possess him, but it didn’t fully work and instead created an alternate clone version of him called GGY. It can’t infect Gregory directly(whenever this happens his mind would back out before the virus can do anything) for some reason but can infect the others, whenever Gregory is near someone
