Just checking with everyone (but of course having answer from Tricky Gym would be great) but PTCGO is a pretty difficult TCG to get competitive if you're in a Free-2-Play vibe right? I mean it's great that they give us a lot of stuff with 3 cumulative missions, tournaments and a fast paced ladder but the lack of events and the impossibility to craft cards makes it super hard for newcomers to build competitive decks for Standard (and also Extended but maybe less) format. Of course you can trade and everything but still...

yeah since rewards after your 12th with in a day are just 5 coins, it's pretty much impossible to get a real good standard deck without spending money, especially right now when the format is centered around big expensive chase cards

you can play completely free to play but you are gonna stuck in theme decks for a long time only real way to get tradable packs in f2p is winning theme tournaments and starting out is rough if you're trying to get into the meta in standard because it pretty much requires you to have dedennes and jirachis which are upwards of 25-35 packs each i believe but tbh if you do buy staple cards building every deck you want is very cheap its just that initial purchase of the staples that makes it difficult.

@@Zak-jt6nk yeah that's what I've been doing (theme deck ladder) and it's fun and all but at some point it's not as much anymore. Especially when all decks are pretty much Charizard, Rillaboom and Dragonite (with a few Necrozma, Golduck and Groundon decks every now and then). I wish there were at least more dynamic events for us to participate and possibly win some cards like Hearthstone with its expansions. I've been playing for only two months but I'm nowhere near close to make my way to Standard (and I buy cards in real life as well so I've been using my code cards in the game...)

@@YuhhGD also you can get codes pretty cheap online irl packs are $4 and sword and shield codes are like 0.40-0.50 cents right now for all the big staples its something like 200 packs i think but after that u can build full meta decks for anywhere from like 3-30 packs usually since you can reuse your staples in every deck

I loved traditional Caturday, I'd include 4 draw energy for some draw power and retreat if I needed a little more time to set up and 1 Glameow though she was situational then and even more so now... never considered putting a Roxie engine in it or Zacian! Gonna do some drawing board stuff now! Great video!

I have an interesting deck idea,. Basically, you use Wobbuffet V with an HP boosting poké tool to withstand a Zacian V attack and then, you use “Gritty comeback” for an OHKO and a full heal

After playing this deck alot lure ball isn't too important since you run 1 ord rods and 2 lana fishing rod. I would take out the lure balls and add 1 shrine and 1 recycle energy

is there a reason to play the resetting hole marshadow over chaotic swell in this deck? like you can search out the marshadow easier but at the same time you dont want to start with marshadow. also since you play no stadiums and generally draw most your deck i feel chaotic swell gives more control over the stadium especially since you arent playing any.
