I also bought the Companion and made a video on it. I have a good lineup of Swiss Army Knives, but the Companion is better. The individual tools are a step up, and you don't have to be concerned with wearing out things like the saw or file. Replacements are cheap! I set mine up as a woods tool.

I love my Swiss Champ and others and I’m very impressed by the Flex Companion. The swappable tools are just so adaptable to what you’re doing that day. Cool channel btw

I love my Roxon Flex set. I did pair the Roxon Flex, Roxon Flex Companion with the Roxon Knife Scissors (S501U). What I like about the Knife Scissors, is that you can change the knife blade. The Knife Scissors use a different mechanism to change the blades. It is tool less design in changing the blades like the Roxon Flex set. There is also the Roxon Phantom (S802S) and Interchange Knife (S502U) that use all the same interchange blades. Nice video.

Thanks for the review. It's a very "flex"-ible tool. It can be set up to be a one and done (Screwdriver, blade, file, scissors, saw etc.) or it can be set up as a complement (Companion!) to another tool, filling in the gaps. I do the latter, pairing it with a Roxon M3 for scissors, awl, toothpick, tweezers etc. So the Companion has the blade, diamond file, bit driver, package opener and ruler/magnet. One thing to note, the tools can be shaken out if the safety lock is not engaged. So the Companion might come open in your pocket if someone bumped into you or you took a spill and the safety was off. Also, you can unknowingly close a blade by pulling on the spine tab. The safety lock prevents this. Finally, my tool lock up improves if I engage the safety after opening the tool. So for all of these reasons, the safest and best course of action is to keep the safety lock on at all times except when in the act of opening, closing or replacing a tool.

I’ll be using the safety lock more often. Thanks for the tip! If I can get my tools to shake out I’ll get it on camera

Dial in the tension just right and oil it up a little and the knife will flick open smoothly without the other tools coming up. My knife is nearly as smooth as the KS2E.

Would be nice if the KS2E would have the same interchangeable tools, because I really like their big scissors. On the Flex companion it would be nice if the bitholder could also be changed. For me it's still not on par with my Victorinox Handyman, but the idea of Roxon is something they should implement and make their knives of better steel and more modular.

The only thing missing from roxon flex Companion is a corcscrew, and they'll probably add that eventually, so, everything is better than Leatherman and victorinox

I think the issue is the # of slots required..maybe a 2 layer is possible?
@deniznarin2 күн бұрын
@@maxlvledcprobably a 3 layer, hope they make it, it's a good option. And if they add hammer side, i think that covers almost all the tools I've need
