She won't have got her money's worth. She bought a pallet of faulty or used items. By the time she takes out all the broken stuff, then sells off anything which works, whatever she keeps will have cost her roughly what she would have paid for it by going into the shop. These auctions are a con. No trader I know of, ever buys more if they have a punt on one pallet. Still there's an endless supply of gullible naive young people wanting to hand over their money and get scammed. The autions places earn millions. With an online auction you can't see the shill bids like you see in a real auction where you can watch a dishonest thief of an auctioneer taking bids off the window frames and walls. I have bought and sold most my adult life, buying from auctions and selling on. It's hard to make a living off it even if you know what you're doing. When you *don't* know, can't see the shill bids and don't understand that a pallet of broken or used stuff isn't going to be worth what you paid, you will only ever lose money.
@laurawhitehouse79462 жыл бұрын
In follow up videos like this, it would definitely be helpful to include the original price of the pallet or divide that up into cost per item because it kind of takes the fun out of mystery boxes not knowing if you’ve got good value for money or not.. 🤷🏼♀️

Why don’t you tell us how much was the pallet worth and how much the products actually worth all together ? That would be helpfull 🙃
@mandyheart87542 жыл бұрын
Right? Not telling us the cost if the pallet makes the whole video …not very meaningful because we have no idea if it was a good value or not. If you paid something like $2k each, (plus some shipping and fees) for maybe $5k total…, then it doesn’t seem like that great of a situation. I say that because things may not work and you might not like/want most or all of what’s included. If you’re a reseller, PERHAPS you’d find value, but for a regular person…if you actually wanted and planned to buy say, a kettle and maybe one other item (cost $500), but paid $5k for loads of random other stuff, then it was really just $4.5k of frivolous spending.

I was actually waiting for her to mention that throughout the video, was very disappointed when they didn't. If I remember right Safiya Nygaard did this with Amazon and she took us through the process from start to finish - from the auction and the bidding to opening the boxes. Edit: and she even tested everything out to see it they worked and were worth the money (not just unpacked them).

Hello Roxxy! I have a suggestion for future videos. It would be better to tell us how much the whole box costed you, so that people can see whether it was worth it or not. It doesn’t make any sense to watch the video when we don’t even know how much everything costs in the first place. HopeScope does similar videos and she gives every single detail about the cost of the box and the shipping. It becomes more tangible for everyone watching

I love that Rox is so down to earth and the whole snobby coffee culture has bypassed her. Lavazza is a really famous Italian coffee brand that we drink here in Italy and is also considered if not the best, one of the best, coffees in many other countries around the world. DeLonghi is also a very popular Italian brand of small domestic appliances that is quite expensive and usually centered around coffee. Miele is German and another expensive designer brand of home appliances. I would be most excited about the DeLonghi coffee machine. Maybe if you read the instructions there might be a secret way to close the door! 😅 Did any of the things not work?

Having just checked over the website mentioned to buy pallets from, it actually works out NOT beneficial at all. Example, 1 pallet 120 pieces RRP £29,120.62. consists of home furnishing & few appliances, current bid is £210 as at 14/03, due to end 20/03 so prediction sold price is aprox £5k on top of whch you pay £65 + 20% vat, then premium at 25% and then VAT 20% so total costs would be almost £10K THATS IF IT SOLD FOR £5000 !! do the maths. its all not all great .....
