They are both likely already in the top 5 of the most powerful female magi.... in the world. Rudy is one of maybe five or so, men, in the world, and likely the only real chance they have, to find a loving magician who is both more powerful then them and will love them and give them children. Would either of them be happy when they are stronger than their husband when neither is dominate? I don't think so. Rudy is who they both need to continue their lines of magicians. I don't think sharing him will make it so there is not enough Rudy to go around, as he is a Greyrat. Rudy is just their first husband, as he can't expect to outlive an elf and a demon, not even their youth really. Once Rudy goes onto his next reincarnation among the stars, they will at least still have each other and their children.
