Saw them for the first time at Brighton Dome in 72 when I was 15 and saw Brian ENO in a cafe 2 hours before the concert. We got him to sign our 50p stall tickets. He told us to get down the front and really go for it!.. we did did and it was one of the most memorable evenings ever!

Yes, it was released on a Swedish ( I think) bootleg called Champagne and Novocaine a very long time ago; I got a copy from a Canadian friend in 78, been playing it on and off ever since!

The Rock n Roll Hall of Fame are honoured to have Roxy Music rather than the usual meeting of band and said institution. Considering some of the acts it has honoured over the years it has managed to delute it`s own standards. It`s not as prestigious as it would like to think it really is. The bar has been dropped too many times over recent years.

David Bowie loved "If There is Something". He eventually recorded it with Tin Machine on their 2nd album. It is my favourite Roxy track, although it's a tough choice to make with so much greatness to chose from, especially up to Siren. Great version on Viva too.

I wouldn't even know Eno was in the band if I hadn't read the credits. He is pretty great, but Ferry owned Roxy. Surrounded by a great band...understated but every member was pretty solid, but not overwhelming. Love the alt versions. Theres a boot Its good he didn't last long or we'd have missed his fantastic early solo albums.
