Oh my goodness, really, someone wants you to edit the sewing out? If they do not like the sewing fast forward or turn your volume down! The people that do these videos are taking their time to do this for US. Rachel, you just keep doing what you’re doing. You could be vacuuming and I would still watch. Love this, I need to find some bags like these. 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

I have only started using my sewing machine, since I started making journals. I really need to see you doing the sewing. It helps to build up the courage to give it a try. Please don't do anything to accommodate those people who don't enjoy the noise. It's ridiculous. They can turn the sound down. I can't turn down not being able to see something because of their complaints. It's selfish. I am annoyed with them! Do your process your way, please, Rachel. The whiners can put a cork in it. I have been watching you for going on 2 years. I don't complain about anything that you do because I admire your process. Your videos are wonderful just the way that they are.

thank you for the lovely sound of machine stitching. As a child, I was lulled to sleep by the sound of my mother's machine. The delight was that by morning I would have a new frock to wear to school. I have fond memories of her dedication and the sound of your machine reminds me of her.

@3rscrafting4 жыл бұрын
I'll try to be polite -- if the sound bothers you for any reason, just mute for the 10 seconds it takes to sew. I LOVE the sound of sewing machines, and Rachel has a very nice one and sounds different from mine -- she can't please all of us, as much as she tries. She has anxiety about outside noise, being on screen, volume and it goes on and on -- uploading videos, because of the YT platform, not her personal internet speed -- takes twice as long as the video itself -- sometimes longer -- I uploaded an hour video at Christmas and it took four hours, and we have FIOS -- Everybody is cranky right now, and worried about what if you or your loved one gets this virus -- 25,000 people have died in the US since just March, and probably a whole lot more whose deaths are being contributed to another cause because they weren't tested -- My fear is that Rachel will stop posting, and again that's selfish of me -- not just her lovely personality, but her work is amazing, and I have deep, deep jealousy of her fabric and lace collections -- not to mention her books that are older than my country (the US) -- so I am politely asking, to those who are unhappy, before you comment, please think of the rest of us who love her videos, and try to resolve the issue on your end -- muting is easy, a click of your mouse or a tap of your finger -- posted with kindness, Patricia PS: My post does not include -- I'll get your name wrong, so please forgive me -- Sandra? -- your posts about her using labels are so funny, are not mean spirited in any way, and make me laugh every time -- especially when you confessed to using a label of your own -- HA !!

Hahaha, it's Sherry! She really cracks me up and I know she secretly loves my labels! I put them on thinking of Sherry everytime!!! You are always so kind! Stay safe! Thank you so much!

I think it's because it takes me back to a time when my Mother would sew on her machine in the evenings...and all was right with the world. Hello my lovely. This is such a beautiful tutorial. Absolutely love the look of it especially with that key. I am sorry others want you to go beyond what you can give. It is not fair to expect this of you. You are so right editing would totally disable your ability to upload as frequently as you do. To give you an example, I have been working on editing my recent uploaded videos for over a week now, I uploaded four of them a couple of days ago. One of them took four and more hours to edit, the other three, took 3 hours each but more is involved and I havent even factored how much time that took. That is 13 plus hours of editing for four videos. It totally stole all my energy, time, focus and attention, everything else gets thrown out the window. It is so time consuming and today I had enough, so I am taking a rare break from video editing and kit organizing and watching a few videos back to back and you were on my list to watch. So Rach hun, you do beautiful YOU!!! Your videos and tutorials are AMAZING! You are so wonderful trying to be so accommodating but not every request is reasonable or fair. This is your channel and we are your guests and we absolutely love & adore and are grateful for everything you do. We are here because we love the Rachel Roxy way of crafting and videoing! And we wouldn't have it any other way! Thank you so much dearest Rach. Huge hugs. XX

Gorgeous cover. Sounds like you are not letting the critics get to you, which is good. Essentially your cover is a mini quilt. One thing quilters do to keep the layers flat is to work from the center out. That way you can pull things snug more easily as you work.

I have always wanted to try a lacy journal cover so I really enjoyed watching your process, so I am happy that you ignored the ignorant person who complained I hope they are on today and see and read all your messages about that so she can realize she was being a big cranky pants. I was gifted a big tub of old doilies, hankys and curtain lace so I have been itching to do one of these . I have no problem cutting up the tattered ones but it is definitely harder with the really nice ones that are in good condition. Then I go to a thrift store and they are selling for 50 cents to a $1.00 each I think the highest price I have seen is like $5.00 for a bigger pieces.. This has turned out so pretty I even love the inside fabric. Thanks so much for the share. Please stay healthy and happy. Hugs and Smiles

Please just do you, Rachel😊 I love the whole process and as you say, don’t like it don’t watch or fast forward and personally I love the sound of the sewing machine. I am just so grateful you are taking us on your journey. Please don’t change what you are doing. This project is awesome as always. 🙂🙂

Rachel this is so beautiful. I love to watch you collage but to watch you "collage" with fabric is such a treat. I love when you sew. You just keep being yourself, you are loved just the way you are. xxx

Thank you Rachel for this detailed video. As I’ve said before sewing scares the heck out of me, I do have some antique lace and have been scared to use them so maybe it’s time to put them together and have them where I can enjoy them. Each lace reminds me of the gorgeous relative who gave it to me knowing I would cherish it. What a beautiful way to do this. I also appreciated your detailed instructions. Sending you hugs to you and your family, I love the way they are part of your videos. 💕💕🥰

I had never thought of stamping on vintage fabrics! Now I can use lots of old small off-cuts from my own lace wedding journals. Thanks for the inspiration!

I love your videos and the sewing machine ‘noise’ motivates me to get mine out. I’ve been off work this week having some downtime after a hectic and chaotic few months and have found these videos not only inspirational but very relaxing - I love the chatter with your family, your thoughts on how you make decisions etc ... please don’t let the ‘noise’ of complainers in and keep on doing what you do it’s just 👌 ... 💜

I really loved the cover and I agree with the other posts about the noise of the machine there is always a mute/volume button so don't worry I am only too grateful for people to impart their knowledge with us, especially for those like myself who have only just joined the junk journal group.x

I made one today using quilt batting which made all the difference. It gives the fabric more structure and it was easy also for me to glue fabrics onto it. It turned out great and appreciate the tips on how to lay it out in advance. Makes everything go much faster. Thanks Rachel !

Hi, Rachel. This cover is gorgeous. I am a tiny bit envious of all your lace. Wow. I am slowly building up my supply. Using the key for a closure is a great idea. I am excited for April 24 when you reveal the prizes for your birthday challenge.

What a wonderful journal cover, absolutely beautiful .... I would give it a home in a second!😂 I love your videos just the way they are.... don’t change a thing! I look forward to your videos when I get home from work.... I relax and eat my dinner while you craft and tell about your day or tell us history about Italy/Australia.... which I love 💕 You are a great crafter..... you make me laugh too. So, with all that being said, don’t apologize for using sewing 🧵 machine ..... it doesn’t bother me at all. Just like you said, they can watch someone else or turn down the volume.....😁 Hope you and your family are doing ok, hope Steffy is feeling better! Hugs 🤗
