Very beautiful. ❤ Many years ago I bought a small drawstring bag at the Textile Museum in Washington DC. It was made from kimono silk. The drawstrings were unusual. I haven’t seen any like them anywhere. There were two pairs of drawstrings: one pair to close the bag and the other pair to open it. All one needs to do is add another pair of drawstrings positioned to draw the bag open. I hope this makes sense. I would love it if someone found a photograph of this clever drawstring feature.

Rachel your bag is beautiful. You are so talented . You inspire me. I have to be careful when I hand stitch, I have Rynauds and my fingertips are very sensitive. When I start to stitch I put bandaide on my fingertips and use a thimble. I learned on this project I have to be extra careful. I made a Jean bag and embellished ,my fingers are sore I’ll have to rest them a bit before I start a new project. Thank you as always.

I'm so loving this whole tutorial. I want to make one so bad.I can't wait.I even have some fabric that's similar. Just as you were talking about the court I was wondering if it would have fit if you braided it with three strands. May have been harder to get through but probably easier to draw it back-and-forth when you open and close it.I don't know. I've never made one so I'll find out when I do one can't wait.
