Just love this. I was sorting out materials this afternoon, and what you have laid out is perfect for what i want to do. I was thinking of winding cottons on to sewing machine bobbins so they wouldn't be as thick as a whole reel. I hope you heard me shouting out my approval (and disapproval) of the fabrics as you were choosing them. Thank you so much for sharing. From New Zealand. ❤.

Hi Dianne, thanks for your lovely comments, I wish I could have heard you as I needed some guidance - that’s a good idea with the smaller reels 🌸

I love your choices. Why don't you make a thin strip of the green gingham to thread your cottons on. It would be a repeat but look nice... just an idea.
@DottyBeeVintage6 ай бұрын
Oh, that’s such a good idea Andrea, I also have some gingham ribbon, perhaps that would work - I shall have a look 🌸

Love the colors and fabric choices. I made one recently and instead of the whole roll of thread I used several bobbins that were wound with different threads. I used elastic to attach. I love the button idea. Also you might want to take the batting out because it gets really thick once you add your items to it.

Sally, wonderful fabric choices. Looking forward to seeing how it all comes about. The cover fabric is so pretty, I wouldn’t Kantha stitch it - but maybe embellish the beauty of it some other way. Sorry you had such a stressful week. Hope things improve for you. All the brain power you had to use to figure that all out wore my brain out! 😂

Thank you so much Martha - yes, I’m agreeing with you, I’m not going to kantha stitch, I think it’ll detract from the beauty of the fabric x

Sally can you tell what those small pins are called again please . TFS xxxxx

Hi Pat, I’ve been looking at the pics on Pinterest and got sucked in for ages good hour - I’m please with the progress so far an looking forward to get stitching now. The pins are Clover applique pins, I ordered mine from eBay about £6 I think - thanks Sally 🌸

I was wondering that - I just need to get my head around what process goes first and I’m sure all the rest will fall into place (fingers crossed!) 🌸
