I really like this type of video Rachel. Its using things that normally one wouldn't think would go together so well. Its a small project that is very adaptable to whatever supplies you have and inexpensive items which with the way things are; is almost a must right now. I like how the layers are coming together and how cohesive they look. The strips would make great end of the page tucks on either side or a belly band for larger pieces of Ephemera especially in the very front or very back page. My favorite part of the creation today was the stamping and how it brought everything together. Once again another awesome weekly challenge!

Love doodling and we are going on a road trip for 2 weeks to see 12 year old very artistic granddaughter!! I’ll be doodling on my painted papers! Fantastic idea! While there I’ll have her make some things for me and I’ll have her art in my journals. Had my 👁 on the pens so might have to get for my b day!! October ☺️ I’ll stamp out and color in some things too!! The mat cheep tracing paper works so well. Using it now. Rachel this is a keeper video. Sharing now!! 👍👍👍👍👍

I love this idea! It’s like combining snipet rolls with packing tape “washi” people make by picking up paint from their gel plates with the packing tape. I love that these are transparent. I’d use these in my mixed media, collaging and journals. I have some of the thinner tracing paper, so this is perfect! Thanx for this idea!

These are so cool! It's like transparent snippet strips... you could use a little or the whole thing. This was a great idea Rachel 💡 So I bought a little embroidery hoop kit last week and I have to tell you, I got it because the saying is so me, but reminded me of you... it says, Hold on, let me Overthink this. And it's in the centercof flowers. I haven't decided if just want to hang it by my desk or use it on a journal cover. I'm leaning towards the journal cover It's not very big. I think the hoops is 6". Anyway I actually finished it in a few days so I am quite proud of myself. I haven't really embroidered in over 20 years. I love your lovely dishes!

Looks like I’m heading to the thrift store tomorrow. They had a bunch of tiny letter stamps, and they would be perfect for this. It’s Senior day tomorrow over there, and thank heavens I’m old, so I can get 20% off! This looks like a whole lot of fun!

Yes, to report back, it took some time in sorting-and-choosing, but I did quite well! For 18.00 dollars, I got 3 bowls of stamps, with a whole bowl of large ones, at only one dollar each. The tiny one-letter ones were .20 cents each (and only one of them needed a drop of crazy glue to better secure the rubber to the wood). I found that a quick once over with a disinfectant hand wipe was all that was needed to freshen them up, and remove any left over ink, before storing them in their new “forever-home”. Rachel, do you know if rolls of “adding-machine-paper” will work as a base for making long streams of 2.5 inch wide mini-ephemera that can be stored wrapped around a section of inner-cardboard-spools from paper towels? I’m going to try a thinned-down-acrylic-paint-wash to “qualify” the white paper-strips into a nice “toned” background. Does anyone know if this works?

This will be a unique enhancement for a journal, and super versatile. I think I will do a strip specifically designed for each of the three journals that are in my immediate future. Thanks for another great idea.

Love this project.....the small coloured labels you could use paint colour charts from your local DIY store...ideal for this... hope this of help for all.... ok...best wishes Jill UK ps can paint with gesso to give a base for writing on etc....

Such a great idea! With those squares that might rub off...if you spray them with super super cheap hair spray, these can be like a fixative and should make it so they don't rub off. I use it in my journal and it works. I got mine at the dollar store...and omg I have 2 sets of the Ohuhu alcohol markers and Love them! I have the the pastels and the original set...they are great! Blending them is really easy!

Oh Boy - I am having so much fun making these collage washi strips! They are so cute, but I was a little nervous to start. A couple days ago I made one and it was fun! This afternoon I couldn't stop making them! I recently became brave enough to try some watercolor markings & drawing on blank post cards (your great digi) printed on coffee-stained papers, so I've got quite a few fun items to tear & stick onto my strips and they look great!
