This is what I love about Roy and the other folk singers who give a voice to the downtrodden and oppressed. You can see the passion Roy has for the songs and the issues he sings about. Rest in Power Roy, along with all the others who gave us so much inspiration to carry on when we thought we were all alone,

I had the pleasure and unalloyed joy to see Roy Bailey with two great friends. Followed by Tom Paxton. A night I was always remember. Thank you Roy.

What a touching story of true inspiration. It's a lovely song by Scott and you really do it justice Roy.

I've been a Roy Bailey fan since the seventies. He was a lovely person, and what a fabulous voice! He will be sorely missed by many, many people

I got the facts wrong about the men and their backgrounds. They were not homeless. What was true was that they weren't listened to. No one took much notice of them. Scott worked with them and wrote this song. The words often the expressions they would make duriing the course of conversations about the singing that Scott encouraged. They indeed, thought they had no voice! I have apologised to them. The truth of the song and their singing of it was however as moving as anything I had heard. Roy
