My all-time favorite version is the one with him on the fiddle and Jimmy Henley on banjo. That boy looks like he's probably 7!!!

Thank you for continuing to feature Roy Clark on your channel. At this stage of his life, your comments were kind and gracious. My wife and I saw him play in Las Vegas in the mid-1980’s. It was a fun night. I went to the show liking Roy Clark and went home with much respect for his talent, humor, and humility.

Roy passed away in 2018. If you haven't checked it out, him and Johnny Cash together doing the Orange Blossom Special, Roy plays guitar and Johnny playing 2 harmonicas.

You really have to watch a video of Roy playing this song back in the day, shreddin' the fiddle. He obviously handed over the serious fiddling duties to the younger guy.

There's an even better version of this where Roy duets on the violin with a young boy on the banjo (the kid was incredible!). There's also a fantastic version where Roy plays the guutar and duets with Johnny Cash (who plays two harmonicas).

You should check out some performances from the "Hee Haw" TV show. The very BEST fiddlers, pickers, twangers, and yodlers of the time. Roy Clark was a regular on the show, along with Buck Owens. The biggest country stars, like Glen Campbell were guests and performed with Roy, Buck, and the other guests and regulars. I think you'll find some interesting stuff.

He was 78 years old
