Keano would have been a monster of a manager in the 80s / 90s had he been born a bit earlier. These days, pampered players simply can't handle someone with his intensity and blunt honesty. That being said, I would love to see him back in managment.
@mediacenterman85832 жыл бұрын
You took the words right out of my mouth. His style is a throwback to the likes of Clough, Fergie & Jack Charlton. He would have been a great manager in the era that you have mentioned. However, having media presence and being entertaining does not mean you are a good man manager; that has been his downfall. Modern footballers do not respond to his brutal and raw style. Sad, but true
@leface302 жыл бұрын
You can't be blunt in the dressing room ..Which is why I think he was not a good manager. Cuz he cannot manage his players if he just says what he wants to . Only a proven man like guardiola or klopp should say what they want cuz its clear they are top level. But when u haven't proved anything in that field u can't just start saying what u want, cuz then u basically blame others without having a look at yourselves
@uncreative57662 жыл бұрын
@@leface30 I think you can. Players will never be happy for any reason- didn't play, didn't play well, didn't score, the weather. Roy's bluntness is why he would succeed as a a manager because it builds a foundation and sets the tone for accountability. Remember, most of Roy Keane's gripes about United as a pundit have been targeted at Maguire, but also at the lack of accountability from the players.

Roy Keane's weakness is connections, he needs to have his own coaching staff. I suggest to look around the Europe, other leagues & search for good professional/talented coaches, they can also help with scouting. Once he has his own team, they can develop chemistry & then have projects to develop teams. He'd be great for Everton if Roy builds his own team around him, has his own development projects/plans.
