Rashford was a product of the academy that showed he had the potential to flourish into a world class player. Over the last few years it was apparent that he wouldn’t. He had an unbelievable season a couple of years ago but that was one in 10 years. He’s 27 so still has a few years left. United need to sell him now before he turns 30 and United are left with an unsellable player.
@CaminoAir12 сағат бұрын
Liverpool supporter. I didn't realise Rashford was 27. He's in his 'peak' period physically. I said last season that Rashford was in serious danger of (when his career finishes) being summed up as "Could Rashford have been a major player?" His career just feels like a steadily deflating balloon.
@MrUmpalumpa9911 сағат бұрын
@ I know it’s crazy. He’s 27 and has the body language of someone who’s 37. Ronaldo was running around at United at 37 and has achieved more in one season than Rashford has in his career. Rashford has been built up by the English media as if he has the credentials of a Ronaldo or even a Neymar who are an exception of being allowed stay more forward because they are so deadly in the final third that it benefits the team. Best to cut losses and accept 20-30m cause no one is paying any more especially when he’s on 350k a week.
@jhentsang960510 сағат бұрын
He's almost unsellable now because of his insanely high wage demands he'll have if he moved to another club. 250k+ (if he takes a pretty large paycut) for a player who's motivation, work rate and overall effort has tanked for years is one hell of a gamble.

It's really disappointing how Rashford's career has panned out. He showed so much early promise and enthusiasm and was unlucky enough to join the first team during the most chaotic period in the club's recent history, but after eight years we have to call a spade a spade and accept that he's cut from the same cloth as Pogba - a talented player who blows hot and cold, tantalising fans with occasional glimpses of brilliance that are bookended by long streaks of shite. Maybe the constant changing of managers and systems over the years made him jaded or cynical, who knows. It's also plausible that sharing a dressing room with posers like Sancho, Lingard and Pogba had a contagion effect. The club too has to accept its share of the blame in infantilising him by playing him week in week out regardless of his performances. Now that we allegedly have a more competent regime and a manager on the ascent, it's time to cut our losses and cash in. Man United don't exist solely to cater to Rashford's moodiness, confidence, unprofessionalism or lack of resilience. He'd be a perfect fit for PSG, as he, like them is flashy, expensive, and overpromises but under delivers. He'd be able to win league titles year after year while barely breaking a sweat.

Manager is in charge. He makes the decisions for his reasons based on form, what he sees in training and system of play. Credit to him for having the bottle to do it. As a Villa fan, Rashford reminds me of Stan Collymore. All the potential to be a top class player shown in flashes when at Forest and a bit at Liverpool, but outside distractions and a poor attitude stopped him from reaching his potential and faded into oblivion.

Prior to Rashfords first season he had under ten hag, I said to another friend who’s a United fan. That rashford should be sold, he isn’t a great player and he has moments but his overall game is lacking and his work rate is atrocious. It’s only gotten worse since then. His attitude is shocking and he’s the polar opposite to what a Roy Keane was for United and players like Keane, Gary, beckham etc were all work horses, let alone their talent. Talent only gets you so far and the reason we’ve been set back so many years is a lack of ruthlessness when it comes to players like rashford, who never should be on 350k a week! He needs to go for united’s sake but also for himself, he’s clearly not happy and the pressure of playing for United might be too much. It’s best for both for him to move on now. So this kind of talk can stop.

The difference between Micah's analysis and those of Keane and Neville is like the difference between him and them on the pitch.

Thing is this, when he eventually leaves United, most likely this or next season, he will play like a monster when his new team plays against United. That's how all of those that had left United did.

He can only beat a man with his speed. As soon as the defender gets in tight Rashford gets two left feet and can't control the ball. Then he starts the sulking game...

A long time ago, Micah Richards looked like a fantastic prospect at right back for Man City, but he never fulfilled his potential. Football is littered with players like Rashford historically. He has got to want to be the best, or near to in his position. A change of scenery at a new club, might just get him to improve, either way, his position at United has gone stale for club and player.

The debate is tired. I like Rashford, he truly did explode on the scene. Debut goals in everything, league, europe, cups, international... had a couple 20+ seasons, his 30 goal season. But he's, what? 27. Peak years now. It's not happening. It might be personal, it mignt be the club, it might be the fans, it might be social media and the media always dragging his name - which, hey, comes with the 350,000 a week my man. I think he should go to MLS and just have fun. LAFC or Galaxy, go do H&M commercials, bang in a tonne of goals, go in the late night chat shows. Hes got 7-10 years left as a player. Go enjoy yourself my guy. Worked for Robbie Keane.
