When you look at what he gave to the team in terms of ability, passion, leadership and commitment, for me he’s the best player I’ve seen wearing a Man Utd shirt in 50 years. I’d only have Bryan Robson alongside him but I saw more of Roy Keane due to extensive tv coverage.

I loved watching Roy Keane. The determination and the leadership showed what he was made of in Turin that night. He was marvellous he was the man of the match and he sacrificed himself by picking up a yellow card he didn’t care he wanted his team in the CL final. People say Bayern dominated the game but imagine Scholes & Keane played that night in 99. It would have been a different story. They were the engine in the middle of the park.
