It's a weird timeline, Keane initially said he was out to do him and Haaland said the tackle didn't end his career and he retired due to the other knee. Then now Keane says he wasn't trying to do him, and Haaland says "Well, I didn't play 90 minutes after that game, so you make your own conclusions". It was an awful tackle. Hitting someone in the knee like that with a kick is called an oblique kick in MMA. Literally one of the most damaging kicks to the leg you can do. The only thing that saved Haaland from serious injury was the fact his leg wasn’t planted in the ground. If it was, he would have been really badly injured.

@jamesgreene685 5 ай бұрын
You obviously don't know what an oblique kick is. This wasn't an oblique kick his foot was straight up in the air. If you look at the stills he's clearly looking straight down at his leg and clearly sees its off the ground before he throws the kick, so no chance of hyperextension.

If halland didn't do a somersault and his foot was planted, keane would have snapped his leg. The somersault saved him. Discuss.

it’s crazy how he has such a big ego yet is so soft. a child could throw a middle school insult at him and he would get riled up😂

The other knee. The other knee. The other knee. How many times does it have to be said. It was the other knee that had a long term injury that led to his retirement. That said, Roy was definitely trying to do him.

Brilliant Roy Keane..says it with a straight face and dead serious proper Irish humour keano…great player too…didn’t haaland(Alf-inge) represent Norway a week later or something?definitely wasn’t Keane that ended his career 🤷🏻‍♂️

It was that bad, you can injure someone with a tackle far less aggressive than that. I don’t blame him for decking him though. Roy fully intended that. The only worse one you would want after you?? Kevin Muscat he broke people’s legs.

@@andrewwright4195 I’m not talking about that. Whether or not he deserved it is another conversation. Roy Keane is claiming he never meant to hurt him. Side note: My mate got a lift to that game with Roy Keane. And a lift home after.
