Most people globally will probably remember him as Mr. Salt in the 1971 version of "Willy Wonka". For me, dumb henchman Bulk from one of my fav cartoons "SuperTed". Had a huge library to his name already by the time of his sudden death, and was *just* taken too soon. 😢

The masks on Roy's grave represent comedy and tragedy the visualisation of the acting profession. My favourite Roy Kinnear films? It has to be the first two musketeers films he made in the seventies. The third one for me is marred by the fact that Roy died during the production. They left in the scenes he had already filmed but used a body double and "clever" camera angles to hide the fact he wasn't there. Roy's gone but his son Rory bears an uncanny resemblance to his dad and is an accomplished actor in his own right.

I certainly remember the Musketeers film he was in and the horse falling that was kept in the film, that was partly completed at the time. Its obvious the bits thats not Roy that were added and really sad too. May he rest in peace. The memoial to William Lancaster is for a member of a northern family who made their money in coal mines. The stunning sculpture is by Sydney March, who, together with his six brothers and sister, also created the Canadian National Memorial in Ottawa.

What a tragedy 🎭 that Roy Kinnear was only 54 years of age when he died..... I remember him in the “Dick Emery Show.” He was always in the Father and son sketch. Kinnear the Father, Emery the Son. At the end of the sketch, the “son” would always say: “Dad I think I got it wrong again!!” It became a catch phrase.

Roy Kinnear appeared regularly as one of Terry Wogan's co-hosts on earlier editions of 'Children In Need' back in the 1980s. Also, relating to his untimely death whilst filming, I read once that he really wasn't comfortable riding horses and didn't want to do the scene on horseback. Such a tragic accident. Roy was a loveable character actor and is greatly missed.

In regard to Mr. Lancaster, a bit of searching revealed: "George William Lancaster Member of a northern family who made their money in coal mines. The stunning sculpture is by Sydney March, who, together with his six brothers and sister, also created the Canadian National Memorial in Ottawa." And from a second source: The Angel of Death - George William Lancaster Memorial by Sydney March. Bronze. East Sheen Cemetery, Sheen Road, Richmond, Surrey. Meller and Parsons date this “immensely powerful figure of a bronze angel that mourns over the Lancaster tom” as “arguably the most dramatic sculpture in any of London’s cemeteries. The Lancasters were a north-country family who made their money in coal mining”

Tragic end. From what it says, he didn't want to do horse-riding, but the production company wouldn't hire a stunt double (to save money). @@UnusualThings1 How old was Roy? Paul, when he passed on ( Sorry didn’t read the message’s.. 54.. That’s young, however I believe we all have our cards marked, for when we leave our vessels ( bodies ) Although it’s not the end, because we don’t die, it’s on to our next journey of the soul. Many people believe it’s either heaven or hell. That’s just fear tactics from religions. Through deep meditation, I taught myself to travel the astral realms, this is where our soul temporarily leaves the body, but we’re still alive because of the cord that is attached to all of us. Through deep meditation, breathing techniques, I found out we can do things, that were never taught in any schools ( indoctrination centers ).. The controllers don’t want us to know how powerful we all are.. Heaven and hell are just vibrational frequencies. Higher vibrational frequency is activation of our higher selves. Hell is the lower vibrational frequency, and that is the lower frequency where our bodies are in illnesses and diseases. If everyone knew how to activate their higher selves ( activation of our pineal gland) 3rd 👁, you unlock your gifts

The two masks are associated with ancient greek drama with the smiling and frowning faces. They are the Comedy and Tragedy masks that were worn in ancient Greece during the golden age, around 500 - 300 BC, and are paired together to show the two extremes of the human psyche. The Comedy mask is known as Thalia, who in Greek mythology is the Muse of Comedy and Idyllic Poetry, portrayed as a happy, cheerful young woman crowned with ivy. The Tragedy mask is known as Melpomene, who is the Muse of Tragedy. Melpomene is depicted with the tragedy mask in one hand, and a knife or a club in the other. The masks and costumes were highly stylized and exaggerated making the characters easy to identify even from a great distance. The actors with comedic roles wore thin soled shoes, while tragic actors were elevated on stage wearing thick, raised platform shoes, called ‘cothurni’. All the actors were male, and they all played multiple roles, so a mask was used to show the change in character or mood. Masks challenged the actors to portray their characters’ feelings in more subtle ways, with voice and body language, since they couldn’t use facial expressions. The two masks are now used as the symbol for theater, in memory of its origins in ancient Greece.
