greatest male vocalist of all time in my opinion. His voice...where do I start...had such a (pardon the pun) dream quality....his voice could take you anywhere when listening to it...and what a range ! and the best part about it, he made it look completely effortless!! ...But he was also a very humble and beautiful person....you are missed Roy...this is coming from a 22 year old man

He was the real deal. Note perfect, he could deliver even if it was just with an acoustic guitar. That's the sign of a real artist. What a wonderful soul he had. I miss him.

Pipkin Hopkins Roy still sounded pitch perfect with a cold!, he would drink coke and chocolate milk before performing and have a smoke. Everything your not meant to do before performing he still sounded the best, never even had a singing lesson or vocal coaching!

I'm still waiting for one of those youngsters that audition for those singing talent shows we see every year to get up and have this quality of 'voice'. Imagine one hitting those notes and singing this song? Female judges would melt, swoon. It'd be a done deal. R.I.P. Mr.Orbison. We lost a part of music when we lost you.

You can really hear a lot of mariachi influence in some sections of the strumming and chord patterns and then it just changes on a dime to something else. Fascinating talent and synthesizer of musical textures. Wish he could have done one full album of acoustic only versions of some of his old hits with Rick Rubin like Johnny Cash did. 😎

Roy Orbison was not blind. The sun glasses were Roy Orbisons trade mark. There is 2 stories as to why he started wearing sun glasses in concert. The first one was that Roy forget his proscription glasses before a concert and the only glasses he had were proscription sun glasses, he went on stage with them and he never took them off. The other story was that he was very shy person and this was the way he got over his shyness on stage.

Should have got 1st but didn't mainly cause of her age. She has 2 or 3 gold and platinum albums to her credit now and a DVD and 2 or 3 guiness world book records for the albums and hits on utube.
