waaaaay too short, but always has been a fantastic little lullaby. His poor wife.... I lost count how many octaves this guy could reach through, surely, Roy was - IS the greatest singer the world has known, at least one of the best from a small handful of singers. Highly under-rated in my opinion and one of my all-time favourite artists ever.

The song doesn't lose power. It just doesn't follow any strict formula. When Roy Orbison wrote songs, he didn't start with a verse, then think about a chorus etc. He just started somewhere and wrote. He didn't think about stuff like that. That's what makes his music so unique and influential. And I also think it's the reason why his music aged so well.

Beautiful man with an amazing voice! His life was full of sadness, his first wife was killed in a motorcycle accident while he was riding ahead of her, his 2 children died in a house fire then he died at the age of 52 from a heart attack. *LYRICS* *A candy-colored clown they call the sandman Tiptoes to my room every night Just to sprinkle stardust and to whisper Go to sleep, everything is alright I close my eyes then I drift away Into the magic night, I softly say A silent prayer like dreamers do Then I fall asleep to dream my dreams of you In dreams I walk with you In dreams I talk to you In dreams you're mine all of the time We're together in dreams, in dreams But just before the dawn I awake and find you gone I can't help it I can't help it If I cry I remember that you said goodbye It's too bad that all these things Can only happen in my dreams Only in dreams In beautiful dreams*
