Roy's JLURD Steps Up to LoD Destroyer Series Rock Sliders

Roy really appreciates the advantages his new LoD Destroyer Series JL 4-door Rock Sliders offers his '21 JLURD. He's prepping his JL for 37s, and finds these rock sliders are really going to help.

I have a 2022 JLUW and I should receive my Destroyer Sliders tomorrow. The instructions mention the “optional” frame drilling for the rear mount on both sides. Did you also have this in your instructions for the Rubicon and if so, did you opt to drill?

My instructions had the same option. I chose not to do it. Self tapping screws would add some extra strength but not a whole lot. I had considered adding a nutsert but by the time you get one big enough, they are hard to set properly. They're holding up fine without the extra bolt in place.

@@thegrimmjeeper I had the same thoughts. Plus, I figured since the rear mounting point was so close to the middle mounting point that the strength distribution of the slider in the rear would be fine. Thank you for the reply and for the install video!
