Roy's Talon Knife from Emberleaf

Falconer Roy Lupton wants to commemorate one of his favourite birds. He does it by commissioning Emberleaf Knives to create one of their masterpieces, using the birds' talons. In this film, he goes to Emberleaf's workshop to unbox and get a first look at the result.

Bravo Emberleaf for such a great job on what I know was a difficult project. There’s not much of our stalking kit that can be personalised and hand made by good blokes that use the best materials and processes available. Yes they cost a lot compared to mass produced knives made using cheap labour but for what you get Emberleaf are not expensive. Most beautiful knives I’ve ever owned and the best tools I’ve ever used.

I dont get why people feel like they have to point out there are cheaper knives which are just as functional. We all understand that. We’re watching a video about a guy treating himself to a luxury knife. Thats what this is. Thats what you’ve just watched. Roys not saying this makes a good logical purchase if what you need is a good knife, he’s just telling us about a pricy knife he wanted custom made for himself. Personally i just think good for him i’m glad he’s happy with it and i appreciate him sharing this as most of us aren’t going to get ourselves something like this and it’s a fairly unique concept.

You had no input here as this video was not about you or your preferences. Ive seen there knives and cant fault there workmanship they look and handle great. But! I could say that of a lot of knives and most are less than half the price these guys charge. Not for me not worth the price tag!

Reece Wright yeah i agree not many places in uk where you can get that quality of work done and they have done a great job! But an everyday gerber at 60 quid will perform just as well as their knives do and when you lose it and you will lose it eventually 60 quid isnt too bad 600 quid i would cry lol
