During the penny test, I saw a Kirby Generation 3! The gray Lexan fan would really have gone bust because of that!

That's true; they are not as durable as the newer ones Kirby produces.

The guy at the beginning is wrong about the manufacture date, royal didn’t start manufacturing vacuums until 1912, not 1905.

I wonder if they still honor their lifetime warranties 😅

The Panasonic still got all of the dirt up despite the airflow being to the side, and it had excellent agitation, so that didn't prove shit.

The reason someone would pick a panasonic over this is they want tools and the ability to do all floors, and still have acceptable cleaning performance not quite as good as the royal in my opinion as I haved used personally both in my own home and can say the royal far outperforms the panasonic, but the panasonic still far better than most store bought garbage at the time. Both are fantastic machines. The shop I worked at sold both, and people loved them. The royal is really a one trick pony it will deep clean carpets really well, tool kits optional, not onboard, and a pain to use, which is why as the popularity of hardfloors and concern for allergies grew the popularity of these machines decreased.

Not entirely true, the cast aluminum can and will crack, spider at least.

Royal is better than kirby

Royal is a very durable cleaner, true, but you come out better with a Kirby in the end. Royal no longer makes the all-metal upright; Kirby still makes parts for models as old as the 1940's.
