If it had been a Boeing, you would have had various beeps and boops to let you know something was up. McDonnell Douglas was more fond of the warnings and a voice to let you know, a bit clearer what sort of warning you have rather than recognizing the tone.

Incredible work! Respect to those pilots - i live along the dividing range south of Ipswhich, F-111's loved our valley for NOE (or, as we locals called it) "sky-dirtbike-riding". Seeing one of those from 400m, on it's side, just after dark, followed by the sound - just in time for the kids to see the wingman. AAF have mad skills!

I got to hang out in a C17 at a Boy Scout even a couple years ago. They said the plane cost like 235 million bucks. It's pretty cool

There are two different systems for terrain alerting on the C-17. The one you're referring to is the Ground Proximity Warning System (GPWS), which is not the source of the audible alerts in this video. The source for these alerts is the Terrain Awareness and Warning System (TAWS). The systems use different sources and methods for alerting.

SIG442 we do it yearly! It’s called the Riverfire event that’s held in Brisbane, used to have F111s do fuel dumps and burn the fuel as it flies (don’t know what it’s called)
