Walking out of St Mary's Hospital in west London with their son to cheers from well wishers, the Duchess said it was "a special time for any parent".
Prince William said they were "still working on a name".

I really feel for Kate here. She was a young, first time mother and had to leave hospital with her precious newborn to face the eyes of the world. It doesn't matter how rich or privileged you are in life, those first few days after giving birth are a scary and vulnerable time for any new mother. She smiled, nodded politely and answered questions, whilst all the time she wanted to take her baby to his own safe environment. I couldn't have done it.

I remember when my husband and I had our first child, also a boy. It was one of the best times in my life. My boy turns 16 in September. I cannot imagine how difficult it must've been to have your baby the centre of the media. In the years following we were also blessed with 2 other children, both female. Now turning 13 and 12 in July and August.

I know this is so old but I still had to comment on how wonderful William was, for taking the baby from Kate, realizing that she has been through hell all day and that she was exhausted. Even though he only weighed 8-1/2 pounds at that time, she had to be wiped out at that moment. The care that they show each other all of the time is so touching...they surely are a match made in Heaven!!
