So beautifully rehearsed and wonderful Royal Ballet ports de bras. 🥰

This 1994 production is still a high-water mark for productions of this ballet, even though I could live w/o the sets. Anthony Dowell is without peer as Carabosse, though Monica Mason was awesome too. What's more divine than Act 2 of The Sleeping Beauty? (ans: nothing)

Who are the dancers in act II ? The video is a bit too grainy to tell.

@@ci7446 Benazir is the sister of England Cricketer Nasser Hussain. Viviana had to take over from Darcey Bussell as she was injured during this production. Sadly the RB lost Viviana as she fell out with them and got fed up of playing second fiddle to Darcey. Both brilliant dancers but quite different. Now both coach the RB and I think the rivalry eventually calmed down.

The sets and some of the costumes to this production were awful but the dancing was wonderful.
