That's just the way a note decays when using an Octaver, especially when combined with a fuzz. The sound you're hearing is the Octaver trying to track a dying note

ok for e.g what pedals??
@JonnyCrofts11 жыл бұрын
Ian Lowbridge Digitec Whammy i'd imagine
@Defensive_Wounds11 жыл бұрын
Ian Lowbridge He is a fair bit more experienced than I am and I am not ashamed to admit it. But I can see and hear where his sound is coming from. Firstly he uses a bunch of effects pedals that do octave down (using pedal), octave up (using pedal), fuzz, limiter/reverb, chorus also several others can do similar effects but it depends how you use them all in a recording session or even harder - live. In this video they'd have mixers and people on boards altering the input from his bass and the drum mics to make a great sound no matter what he was doing with effects pedals but live it is half them playing the instruments and half the mixers on the control panel making it sound good. The skill he is doing is octave up a little bit and reducing the volume on the bass-driver for some parts while changing from the lowest string to a high one to make it sound guitary while doing the semi-bassy parts on the fattest 2 strings here and there. Then when it gets all heavy and bassy with a few high notes - he has hit the bass driver pedal and possibly taps the octave up or just plays the higher strings of that key. I do similar stuff but differently, cool seeing how someone else does something a different way to get the same result pretty-much. There is much more to it than this but this is the cliffnotes basic shit.
