I totally respect you, and saying this with love. But in 2002 when the press was treating Qotsa like 'the saviours of rock', Josh said "well shit, I didn't realize rock was in a burning building. If we saved rock from a burning building, did the white stripes save it from a snowstorm? Did the strokes save it from a skii accident? Sorry but I don't see music that way." Rock will be fine and well ;) as always. These days the market is oversaturated with bands but I really feel like whoever is doing their own unique powerful thing will reach people.
