It depends. Some are very different, some are very similar, and like this, it's quite similar to the original, but because of the singer it still sounds different

There's another band that does covers in that manner as well. Liliac. When they do a cover they keep it as close to the original while adding their touches, but it still sounds like the original but different. Liliac- Enter Sandman, Holy Diver, The Trooper, Crazy Train, Symphony of Destruction are some of their covers.
