Guy was born to be a songwriter and lyricist - his normal speech when he’s just explaining things is so poetic in itself

@J J ok mate I didn’t say I thought his lyrics were good I just said that the way he used a lot of metaphors and similes when he talks makes me think that he was always going to be writing something

This whole record is overall more of the bright and fun side of the band. It's dancy, it's groovy, it's retro but still has the signature royal blood dirty bass sound. They really are seeing color for the first time. Oblivion and Million and One are two of my favorite non single songs off the record

Oh, that’s brilliant, “Like a pro wrestler trying to toss salad.” The whole album is like this!!!! Royal Blood are brilliant!!! Serious and buddy funny. So fun and colourful. Yeah, who needs friends. I don’t. I just need Royal Blood.

The first time I heard Boilermaker I said "this has sort of a Queens Of The Stone Age vibe going on". Now it all makes sense.

Don't forget about bonus track space. It's one of my favorite. Wish I could find an album with one trick pony and king on it.

This album made me fall in love with Royal Blood all over again, it really cemented them as one of my top fave bands of all time. It's just so fucking GOOD.

This album is definitely a grower, I didn't enjoyed that much in the first listening but now I listen to the songs on repeat. Great work, a big step forward. Favourite songs at the moment are Oblivion (reminds me Muse), Million and One, Hold On and All You Have Is Now (BRMC vibes...).

I like the experimentation with this album guys but really hope you go even HEAVIER than your ORIGINAL album next album!! Royal Blood, 1st album was brutal. Can you go heavier? You have proven you can go softer. Now can you be heavier??

Muse changed their sound more after every single album than royal blood did from album 2 to this one, bands make the music they enjoy making, its not "mistake" to do so

@@Ptolomey it’s completely up to them. But going from a QOTSA crossed with early Muse to a dance synth sound it’s definitely not the way to strengthen their career. But as you say it’s totally up to them
