Dude, is that the skinny Jenny Bit from Cody's cnc? I have a couple of them but haven't tried them out yet.

What did you do to the banner on the bottom. It shows you cut everything but the letters away and left the letters in walnut. Then you glue a inlay around all the letters and glue it on. But then it shows that wood with the letters cut AWAY again and you inlay the yellow wood in there. What did I miss? I love the board. I am a member. Can i buy the vectors or tool paths to make my own?? Thanks!!

@aaronswoodshed41033 жыл бұрын
It looks like you're using the 6.2 deg tapered bit more instead of the 15 deg v-bit. Is that because the v-bit tip breaks more often?

@@Broinwood а есть статистика по v граверам? на сколько хватает одной штуки
@aaronswoodshed41033 жыл бұрын
@@Broinwood What happens with the sharp corners? Because it's a round nose bit you'll get rounded inside corners. Also what was the finished weight? This board is a monster. Your work is an inspiration.
@mrljvb3 жыл бұрын
@@aaronswoodshed4103 On the main piece, the glue fills in the bottom area, so the rounded edges are not an issue. On the inlay pieces, the rounded inside corners are cut away. It is why you go deep instead of shallow v bit cuts.
@aaronswoodshed41033 жыл бұрын
@@mrljvb I have my 15 deg v-bit set to 35 feed rate and 40 plunge at 19000. I use the 1/32 bit in all my 3d carvings and that is set to 100 feed. What numbers should I use for the v-carving?

Can you show us how you clamp the inlays down during the glue drying? You always show just hitting it with a rubber mallet. Everytime I use just a rubber mallet, the inlay wont seat evenly and i get gaps.

Their crest only says "Matiens le droit" it doesn't say "maintaining rights" as well. That would be like saying Canada must be Latin because that crest is in Latin.
