B: Middle of the ship all day. Less motion of the ship rocking and you’re able to get to either side of the ship quickly
@barryrankin58718 күн бұрын
B - A couple different reasons we choose mid ship. 1 - Calmer/smoother sailing. 2 - More centralized to everything. 3 - We spend lot of time in the Atrium and it’s a great meeting place for friends and family.

C- Aft. The farther aft the better. The view is amazing. We love the extra sway. My hubby is an Owner Operator truck driver. It lulls him and I to sleep. He is used to constant movement. And again, the view!!!! In addition, it tends to be much quieter. People make the most noise by the elevators. We have to walk a bit more than those at mid ship but its totally worth it. Its peaceful.

C) like a balcony looking back, less noisy and less traffic in the hallways . Food trade off for the extra motion. Finding the right cabin amidships can be tricky

B. In the middle a few rooms down from the elevators. Being a bit mobility limited (cane user) this helps reduce the number of steps and being a handful of rooms down from the elevators is still pretty quiet.

Hi Mark! Thanks for your input. That makes a lot of sense. We typically take whatever room we get the best deal on. Kellie prefers a cabin on the aft of the ship. It seems we often spend more time going to places near the back of the ship, so it is more convenient. I am indifferent. My preference order would probably be B/C/A, if I had to choose. The front of the ship can seem a bit distant from many things with the exception of the theater and fitness center. Appreciate you! Hope you have a great day!

We are north of LA now and spent last night watching the evacuation alerts. Currently Long Beach does not have fire issues, and that was our nearest location to evacuate to if the fire got any closer to us. It was 2 major roads away. Our plan was that if it got to one major road, it was time for us to go. This is WAY serious, and we have suitcases packed and ready to load into the car if needed......but since Long Beach has, at worse, spotty power outages, cruises should not be affected. B

C Aft - On most ships it is located closer to quieter areas. The view on aft balconies is great however there is a risk of some level of soot landing on balcony while in port depending on wind direction. Wipe balcony chairs when returning to cabin after port visits.

B/C Mid Aft offers best value as it’s cheaper than midship and not far enough aft to be subject to engine or prop vibrations. Location is close to buffet and the central meeting area of the ship so most convenient.
@expeditioncurran327918 күн бұрын
A. Try to get rooms forward to most forward elevators/stairwell. Tends to be quiet with less foot traffic in the halls.
@bkmartin195817 күн бұрын
B. Middle of the ship has less forward to rear rocking. Then the lowest deck with a balcony to cut down on the side to side rocking. Anyone who suffers from motion sickness will want a balcony or window cabin as close to midship and to the water as possible. Some times the best and fastest cure is standing still and looking at the horizon.

In the middle as there is less chance of rocking and rolling from the motion of the ocean. In addition, the lower the deck the calmer the motion. We have sailed top and middle at both ends and the middle. There is a trade-off with all of these. Choose carefully.
