@@RVOddCouple People think that making good videos like this is easy. But if they would try at this level, they would see the amount of time, creativity, and effort that ACTUALLY goes into it, cameras, camera angles, lighting, clips, edits, sounds, sound editing, deciding what to keep and what to cut, etc. Your videos are very well done.

We too love the Encore Royal Coachman RV Resort. It’s very difficult to get there in the winter unless you want to stay 4-6 months. We’re on the wait list but I don’t have much hope.

My wife's parents lived in Nokomis when they were in Florida so when we saw this, we taught, if price is right for 6 months (+ storage for our RV when we come back to Canada for summer). Hope it fits our budget!

My Aunt was living in Naples, were you close to that town. Wow, this place sounds great!! I come from a camping family. It was in a Army canvas tent that fit mom, dad, oldest 14-15 middle 11-12, 9-10, and me 4-5. Then mom and dad had a pop-up, then a 13 foot ( no indoor powder room: toilet seat with black bag), then a 32 foot, then a 5th wheel. How you described this place sounds amazing!! Both of you are very well spoken: no umns, like, you know. One if not both could be a public speaker ( though how many times had you stop and re-recorded ). Loved your explanations.

Royal Coachman sounds interesting. Back in the early seventies we stayed with our one year old at a campground in Punta Gorda FL, a place called Shell Creek Park. The first year was in a tent trailer and after that a slide in camper. We used to drive pretty well straight through from Ontario Canada, maybe stopping once or twice. We liked it there.

Punta Gorda was our first park in our new RV 😀 Royal Coachman is amazing Fred and it's mostly Canadians there. Great friendly people 👍

Our favorite place! They used to have a site cost sheet. We just looked for it but couldn't find it. We think it was $50-$106 per night with big discounts on longer stays. Of course this all depends on season or off season. You better book 6 months in advance for the winter months Thanks for watching 😀

Well I gotta tell you, you guys have given up a very closely held secret among annual RV enthusiasts and Canadian Snow Birds along Floridas' Left Coast. We are currently looking forward to our 9th winter at Encore RCR Nokomis and agree that this place is the top of the line when it comes to having it all for glampers. The guy who complained about the muddy spots must have come during monsoon season in July and August when it rains each day and will be muddy. There are lots of flies during monsoon, and gaters have been seen in the park. Wintertime, no bugs. The groundskeepers gotta be spraying for them because in 8 winters I have never seen one fly or mosquito. There can be No- Seeums, if you believe in that sort of thing. I do because they make you bleed. One must learn when they attack and when they don't. But, come January through April, WOW. The morning ocean breeze is always there for you, and the prevailing bird song is mourning doves. There are sport events for residents. There are gatherings for pot luck dinners, at least there used to be before Covid 19. Some residents teach glass art, woodworking, computer classes, there are poker groups, there is a fishing club offering offshore deep sea angling. There is a lot to do at RCR. Now for the hard part. It costs any least $60 per day to stay in the winter, it's a lot lower in the summer months. You get free cable TV but must pay for wifi and electricity. Average wifi and electricity costs will probably run over $100 per month. But water is still free. There are at least three pages of backlog for wintertime camping at RCR. I assume there are a lot fewer campers desiring the heat of the summertime there. Venice and Nokomis are very low key towns and most campers from up north seem to congregate over on the Atlantic Coast where campgrounds are mostly concrete jungles. I think they must like having no shade, lots of concrete, and thousands of closely spaced trailers. They just want to be warm I guess. The same can be said for a lot of Canadians who come here in huge numbers trying to escape the arctic weather at home. Most of them stay in park homes here at gavelifestyle youcanluck toblood at RCR and look forward to visiting with all comers. Stop by lot 51 and say hey to Mike and Patti from Missouri.

To repair my previous typo and to finish my comment: Most of them stay in park homes here at RCR.

I see that this is an Encore resort. Was there an extra fee on top of your Thousand Trails/Encore membership per night for this resort?
@RVOddCouple6 жыл бұрын
Good Eye! Yes this was a Trails Collection, Encore Resort. There was a $20/night fee. There was no add on for 50 amp or per person. Just $20/night. But Royal Coachman is a deluxe resort so staying here for just $20 a night is a bargain!
Yes. This is the most beautiful resort we have stayed at. It's magical!

That place looks nice. We will have to add this as one of our stops on our way through Florida this winter. Are there good-sized pull-through sites available? We are in a 45ft Class A and need lots of elbow room to squeeze into the campsite. Thanks and keep up the great videos.

Sounds fantastic. A question: How likely is it to run into alligators and snakes?
@RVOddCouple5 жыл бұрын
Snakes are probably pretty likely in FL, but not sure about alligators. I would ask the park directly. But to be safe, assume that any body of water in FL has them. :-)
