Yes, it did look somewhat tacky, and as though she had forgotten to put the real outfit on top. Years ago I made myself a plain evening/nightclub dress from a petticoat pattern. It was princess line with a little dart at the bust to bring the fabric into the front of the body. It had a round neckline which was faced and interfaced (not straps). It was a deep shimmery purple satin, and I added a decorative trim round the armholes and neck line, it. was a heavyweight fabric so it hung beautifully and sleekly. I also used the same pattern to make cotton dresses for holidays abroad., and I made some for a work colleague who was having her first holiday abroad I've still got the pattern.

I think Catherine doesn't wear Dior because Camilla wears it frequently. I think that this slip dress was not as successful on Princess Diana because the lace at the top of the bodice does look like her bra is showing as Beebs said. It looks like Diana is wearing her underthings, having forgot her dress. Princess Diana wore so many fabulous outfits, that having a look miss on occasion is understandable. I also think that the necklace was too heavy above the delicate lace.

Princess Charlene is my favourite royal for style: she embraces the most contemporary, sleek style which manages to look unfussy but SO glamorous as well. As a former Olympic swimmer her shoulders are not only a little, but a lot wider than her hips and she really knows how to dress for it. Although I have longer hair myself, I love the short cut on her. She is also willing to be a bit daring with her choices, and I believe spearheaded the wearing of trousers which previously wasn't a thing for other royal houses' public appearances. Just beautiful.

Princess Margaret's dress is still perfect. Just iconic! Not a fan of princess Diana's slip dress, I always thought it looked like a night gown....

I would absolutely love to see a video about Charlene’s wedding dress. I think she had multiple looks.

Does Meghan not look in a full length mirror when she dresses?

I'd guess she doesn't see the same thing everyone else does.

I love a good silk slip dress. I didn’t like the one Diana wore. I didn’t care for that particular lace and how wide it was, it killed it for me, made it look more like sleep wear.

I like most everything Diana wore, but not the slip dress.

You could have featured Beatrice Borromeo Casiraghi, Princess Caroline's exquisite daughter-in-law, as an example of a good Dior fit. After all, she is a brand ambassador for the house.

Definitely add Princess Charlene of Monaco to the next bridal video, she is elegant. The embroidery on her wedding dress was beautiful but would love to hear what you think of the neckline as I thought it wasn’t the most flattering

The House of Dior seems to have rock solid principles. There was a time where they sent their celebrity designer in chief packing because of his anti-semitism. I just love this combination of integrity and beautiful style. Thank you Beebs!
