Royal Enfield 350, 500 cc Pushrod Engine Explained | Pushrod Pros & Cons

Royal Enfield's 350 500 cc engines have a lot of specialties. Technically the valve operation is the main difference. It uses a pushrod system instead of the commonly used overhead cam system. So that's what we will be talking about in the video.

I particularly liked the 'valve float' explanation. I had always assumed it was simply a matter of inferior valve spring property. Thank you. I liked the original RE 350 and 500 engines they do the job well and are easy to work on. If you live out in the country with no highway traffic and have to ride through rough going then the old engines are still superior in my opinion.

I have subscribed for the first time ever on KZbin! Simple and informative. I'm a 650 twin owner and dealers gave been avoiding adjusting the valves clearances. They still insist it's not required as frequently but it is, it wasn't required in hydraulic valves.
