Royal Enfield Classic 350; Where did i get that rear rack???

A re edit of the rear luggage rack that replaces the pillion seat on the Royal Enfield Classic 350 Reborn we get here in the UK, Folk asking where I got to how much and from who?, so put that lot and update after 7 months for those interested!

Thanks for posting this. I ordered a rear rack for pragmatic reasons but, apparently, a rear rack such as this was standard on most messenger/signal corps motorbikes back in the day.

Hope of help for you Robert, I also seen them on eBay again in India but think their non genuine RE but a decent rack except flaking powder coat so I will prob as mentioned powder coat it in the future 😁👍 cheers Bruce

Good post mate. Got the chrome solo rack on my Red & Chrome model. I agree these are not Enfield built as the welding leaves a bit to be desired. Turned mine upside down and pumped Jenolite anti rust into the breather holes. Was a bit worried it would foul the spring kit when I fitted them using the same Tiger Ness method as yourself . 5:33 Certainly would go for a midel like yours if it had to live outside. Fortunately its in a brick garage and im retired so pick most of my rides based on weather unless obviously I get caught out on a longer journey. Great vid mate with lots of good info. I wanted a chrome solo rack for my Red & Chrome model which I've also ordered from India. First thing I'll check the chroming quality but Ashford plating said if its ok they can over chrome it without stripping it. Next job underneath its got anti condensation holes so I'll inject Jenolite anti rust in all of those to protect and kill any internal hidden rust. The back brackets are slotted so fitment should be straight forward. However I will paint these and the front mounts black to add protection and blend in with the frame . My bike lives in a dry non damp garage and is wintered so should be fine. If it had to live outside I wouldn't buy a chome model as from experience in the 70s they are a total pain to look after and always end up rough looking.

Hi, curious to know how you got on ordering a chrome rack from India - who did you order from and what was the condition of the chrome/hardware? I too have a chrome/red and would prefer a chrome rack to the powder coated black. Cheers!

Thank you for the informative video. I just received almost the same rack from India but I have a touring saddle on springs. I don’t see how I can mount the rack because the saddle moves on the springs… Mounting would mean the springs can not their work anymore? Greetings
