@Noel Westwood After the 650s there is no reason to get the 535. The difference in price is minimal. In terms of engineering, smoothness, quality and features the 650s offers lot more value for money.

@Noel Westwood It's is not the same bike even if the name is the same ! The Cont. 535 is an old classic bike, it's a lot of fun if you can endure it, the pain and etc .. The Twin 650 is a much more easier to ride and a lot comfortable, almost no vibrations. With time the 535 will still be a classic old school bike one cylinder machine with magic in it. What do you want more for your style of riding ? :D PS: I have Continental 535 and Interceptor 650

I have a T120 (heavily performance modded) and a RE Classic 500. I love both but the sheer grin factor, pound for pound, is superb on the RE! I'm going to test ride the GT soon. Ps. The oem Pirelli tyres are the same on the T120 (and have been since the LC 2016 inception) they're ok but not great in the wet. Many people misguidedly moan about them but it's mostly the suspension that lets them down. A free flowing exhaust system and an Indian made Powertronic (like a PC-V ecu piggyback) is half the price and twice the tech, and really brings these RE alive! For under £275 ($350) it's a no-brainer! Thanks for the review 👍

I look forward to your *part 2* of this bike's review where you report on: 1) the fin guards' success in protecting your knees from engine *heat* , 2) the suspension performance at speeds greater than 75 mph, 3) the adhesion of the OEM tires in high speed turns, 4) the engine torque coming off idle (i.e. jerky or smooth), 5) whether your test bike is BS4- or BS6-compliant, 6) how easy and accurate the gearbox is to shift, 7) what the lowest useable fuel octane is, 8) where the catalytic converter(s) is/are, 9) if the two exhaust headers are separate or joined, 10) if there is any unpleasant level of vibration felt above 65 mph, 11) if there is any brake fade (front or back) on the 3rd stop from 75 mph, 12) what do you, the rider, weigh?

Do your really think he's aware of Bharat Stage 6!!! They have their own pollution compliances.
@daveinwla63604 жыл бұрын
@@logicalindian_777 - The Bharat Stage emission compliance level is built into the engine - probably in the ECU, and maybe the cam profile in the case of the recently designed 650cc engines. The BS6 version of the 650cc engines have slightly less peak horsepower than the BS4 engines, but linear acceleration (i.e. torque), especially coming off idle, has usually suffered when other manufacturers converted their bike engines to tighter emission requirements. It would be important, then, to know the Real World driveability of the bikes with the newer BS6 engines. This video lacks that information.

@@daveinwla6360 I'm saying, the form you are asking questions, people won't be aware of *bs* term. 😅
@daveinwla63604 жыл бұрын
@@logicalindian_777 - There are at least a hundred videos and articles that mention BS3 and BS4 and now, BS6, when discussing Indian motorcycles. Certainly anyone in India, or anyone who knows anything about the automotive industry there will know about the Bharat Stage automotive emission regulations. As of April 1, 2020, ALL cars and motorcycles and motor scooters sold in India HAD to meet the BS6 rmission requirments, so this rating is a Big Deal because it affects the power - and many times the driveability - of a vehicle, and it should have been mentioned in this video.

I like that flat line under the seat, it’s how it would have been in a sixties bike, especially the cafe racers which were all about stripping off weight (that’s what I would do with this bike) and exposing the engines and frames of the bikes. I would get rid of the plastic bits and change the exhaust system for something a lot lighter and you’ve started to personalise it and got rid of a fair bit of weight.
