I've ridden one of those here in the mountains of southern California. They handle curves so very well but the uphill grades are challenging for lack of power. My RE Interceptor 650 has more power with a passenger that the 535 GT riding solo.

Yes I agree not much good for 2 up work, lovely for the small back roads. I see your no stranger to the English weather as you've had a spell in Blighty.

Apparently, the factory lightens the flywheel on the GT....different to the Bullet. Makes it a bit more responsive, and bit less tractor. Good report mate! Stay safe and get home before it pisses down. Haha.

cheer for that, might tap my mate for another ride this year enjoyed my last ride, YB

Nice review. So... what was the Hitchcocks "stage 3" that your friend had done to this bike?
@yorkshirebiker12932 жыл бұрын
My mate wet to buy a tractor from a lady who's partner passed away, he bought the bike with the tractor. The lady was not sure exactly what had been done to the bike, but that is what she thought had been done. My mate was selling it if i had room, i'd have had it😁😁

At last a proper review on one of these. I’m looking for a bike to build up my confidence on, do you think this is a suitable bike for that? Thanks.
@yorkshirebiker12932 жыл бұрын
I was quite surprised how good It was ,really easy to ride. Not sure if a standard bike is just as good ,the lad who owns the bike bought it with some more gear , and they seemed to think it was Hitchcock stage 3 tuned, but we don't know for definite, hope that helps YB

Once upon a time I lived in Sherburn in Elmet, where the coffee bar, or Squires as it was also known, was originally located. Bought my first bike whilst living there and so my life long passion for bikes began. Spent many a happy hour at the coffee bar, it was pretty wild back then, wheelies up and down the street, 2 strokes on spannies, howling fours etc. It moved to where it is now after I mpved away, I've been up a couple of times since, I really miss the atmosphere, but living in Worcester now it is a bit of a trek. Yorkshire is the best place I've ever lived so I have been thinking about moving back up there, maybe when I retire.

I remember the old place with fond memories luck for me i still live on the door step. Yes yorkshire is pretty good place to live.😁😊
@turboslag2 жыл бұрын
@@yorkshirebiker1293 Indeed! Last time I was up there was at least 10 years ago, going by the route you took to Squires the roads have changed quite a bit! When I lived there and worked in Leeds, I took the B1222 out of Sherburn, under the flyover, briefly onto the A1 then left onto the A63, that all seems to have gone! Crazy!
@yorkshirebiker12932 жыл бұрын
@@turboslag Yes the old A1 has moved . i came from Fairburn past the nature reserve on Back Newton Lane then in to Ledsham and up New road on to the B1222 to Newthorpe
