That front plate is beautiful. I'm surprised people aren't buying them from you like your hard tail frames. It really is a big improvement over the original part.

Hello Craig, pleased to see you upload the video this morning, glad I am not the only one can’t sleep! You make the work seem simple, which is a sign that you are very skilled, accuracy being very important aesthetically. The little touches you add to the bike make it stand out. Great work, cheers Kevin.

Great job and it looks loads better than the original too. Simple ideas look so easy and make such a difference, however making one isn't as simple as it seems :P

Your work rate is impressive. Just editing video can be a full time job.... I wonder if that cover you just made would hold a Royal Enfield badge? Would need to be subtle, maybe a transfer.

Thank you Ian, not much sleep when doing several videos a week and keeping the shed work going. I actually have an idea for a badge, the badge I would use is quite expensive but it would look fantastic, I’m certainly thinking about it.

Another quality video Craig. Some lucky sod is going to get a cracking bike. Have you ever given thought to fabricating a tank mounted hand shift mechanism ? it would look sweet on that.

G’day Craig amazing how you shape metal, I’ve only criticised once in one of your builds. But I have to say I don’t like it, to me it doesn’t look right. Would it be better it it just strait for an insignia just a thought regards John

Great job as ever Craig! I plan to make some side panels in alloy for my little Yamaha Bobber and you have given me ideas and tips for how to shape them as the frame ‘triangle’ is not a flat plane. Would you recommend 1mm or 1.5mm thick alloy? Cheers 😊
@THEDOGHOUSECUSTOMMOTORCYCLES2 жыл бұрын
Thank you Peter. The alloy I used was 2mm, I’m not sure what grade it is because it was given to me with several off cuts, at a guess it’s probably 1050, some alloys are not very good for shaping as they can start to split then you need to anneal, even that can go wrong if not done right, maybe get hold of a sample to try before buying.
