Morning Ian, I was out on my Classic 350 yesterday, had a ride to Thellwall village and had a look at a few of the old swing bridges over the Manchester ship canal, proper built iron bridges,..as for the photos at the end of this video, you park an Enfield up and someone always stops to look or comment , as I pottered through the village an old couple stopped walking turned round and watched me go by smiling,Enfield's just have that thing about them. Cheers Mel 🍻
@ianhughesroyalenfield3 ай бұрын
Interesting ride then Mel 😎. Yes, it’s the RE attraction. Though I did have one bell end who said, “so what’s this a copy of ? Royal Enfield do that don’t they, rip off other people’s designs and idea’s”……I had to put him right, but he didn’t like it, and he walked off mid conversation 😂

Well done Ian, my weekly fix of Guerrilla video on some great roads and in the sunshine! It's a shame that our road builders can't keep the rivers in the rivers and not on the flippin roads, it's the same down here in Somerset. I'm looking to get out on mine tomorrow, weather's looking good 😁 I'd have been out today but DIY sash window renovation got in the way 👎By the way, Hitchcock's answered my email and they are aware of that quirky fueling when pulling away, they've got a fix for the Himalayan but nothing specific to the Guerrilla yet but it sounds like they will come up with something 👍 Cheers, Phil

Lovely ride Ian it's always nice around the lakes views that you can always appreciate . I completely get why folks like the looks of the Guerilla it's a really nice looking bike👌. I have never been a fan of bar ends myself purely on the looks but they are probably the best rear view I guess .Much enjoyed even at running in speeds 😉👌👍

Morning Ian the last of the 3 bikes you let pass was a Kawasaki Z1000 I recognise the exhaust on it. Has for folding mirrors I’ve always bought the double take raid rallye mirrors £172 reason why like you I had to keep taking the OME ones off due to getting through my entry. Glad the the ninja I have just turn right in no hassle 👍🏍️

Thanks Derek. All nice bikes. I have seen those mirrors, they use ram mounts, just don’t think they would suit the style of Scorpio. Cheers though 👍
@timparish1723 ай бұрын
Morning Ian, I had the RE Touring mirrors on my Classic and, yes, they do fold, but you do need to loosen and retighten the allen bolt each time, they’re not sprung. I ended up swapping them for the RE bar-end mirrors as the Touring mirror stalks were quite short and I saw a lot of my elbows 🙄
@ianhughesroyalenfield3 ай бұрын
Oh bugger Tim, that’s a bit daft. I didn’t mind undoing the Allen bolt, but no good if they are shorter than original 🙄😢Thank you for helping me not to waste more money 👍
@mrgrizzlyrides3 ай бұрын
Don't mind the running in speed riding Ian, specially with the gorgeous lakeland views. Pity about the sun reflecting off of the TFT screen, rendering the speedo unreadable; might be a road safety argument there. It should be interesting to see if anyone uses it as a defense/mitigating circumstances argument in court. Enjoyed the banter as usual; enjoy Scorpio my friend.
@ianhughesroyalenfield3 ай бұрын
Thanks Neil. The speedo looks worse in the video than in “real life”, but the glare is like a mirror. I have a speedo angels anti glare protector, but yet to fit it. Still to get another 100 ish miles on the clock , then no more “I’m still running in” 😂
@mrgrizzlyrides3 ай бұрын
@@ianhughesroyalenfield Righto. The speedo on video is obscured for most of the time; don’t know if you’ve noticed this in editing. But (I know, bad grammer🤪)if it looks worse on camera then not so bad for riding. Interested to see if the anti glare works though but. 100 more miles eh! That will soon pass; as Kawasaki say”Let the good times roll” eh. Even running in, Scorpio seems bloody quick on overtakes etc. I’m looking forward to your reactions to riding Scorpio once the running in process is completed (smiling as I write this 😛); gonna be fun. Anyway; gotta get back to painting I suppose; hope you and Ann are both well; take care bud.
@ianhughesroyalenfield3 ай бұрын
Morning Neil. Yes, I have noticed the speedo going blank thing, but honestly nothing I can do. It’s all down to a frame refresh rate mismatch, between the TFT dash and the Osmo Action 3. I have now put the TFT dash to auto (white during the day), and using 25fps on the camera. It is better, but still has dark lines appearing occasionally, but at least it’s not flickering like it was on my first Himi 450 video. Cheers

Think Stadium do a quality folding stainless bar end mirror. Got twin clock's on my GoldStar and can't say I have ever noticed the sun reflecting badly off them, or perhaps I'm just not looking.
@ianhughesroyalenfield3 ай бұрын
Thanks Ian. The only problem with a bar end mirror, is it isn’t as easy to see if my camera is still operating as it should. As for the screen, it is definitely a TFT thing, I don’t have the same issue on Clementine, and didn’t on Honor (Interceptor) either. Cheers

Hello Ian, enjoyed your Guerrilla video's.. Got a blue one ordered, is the run in period the miles up to the 300 service or beyond ? I'v opted to have Michelin tyres on mine, partly because the 452 Himi I had stepped out mid corner , which put me off the standard Ceat's .. Have ordered a screen anti glare cover and a rear rack.. Looking forward to riding it- preferably on dry roads.. Cheers - Brian.

Good morning, I took the Himi 450 out for review twice, and genuinely loved it, but found it was just too tall for me. Even with the lower seat option, it would still have been that bit too tall. A lot of the roads/lanes I ride have adverse cambers, or uneven surfaces, so I didn’t want to find myself in a situation, where I put my foot down, and the surface wasn’t there. Cheers
