The Royal Enfield Himalayan is meant to be the indestructible adventure motorcycle that is as proficient at scaling the Himalayas as it is handling the hustle bustle of the city or cover rapid distances on the highway. We have subjected it to our 500 km endurance test to check how well it behaved on such a run, which in essence should be easy peasy, lemon squeezy. Plus, we have ridden the bike for over 3,500 km now. How is it holding up? We bring you all the answers in this video.

This review has made me question the credibility of such reviews which seems incorrect. And most of the prospective buyers make their purchasing decisions watching such reviews. I am an owner and riding this bike for 2k kms. I am 85 kgs and 90% of the rides were on highways maintaining a speed of 90-110KMPH. Never got a mileage less than 33 KMPL. Anything above 3000 rpm it is just a rocket. Never felt underpowered. Great cruiser. Slight buzz in left foot pegs and that’s about it. Nothing something which make me regret my decision. All in all a great bike.

Same here, my bike is at 1700kms now , I have been riding it on highways , city and mountain high range. I always got milage above 30km maintaining a speed of 70-90 @ 3000-4000 rpm. One problem that I felt is the engine heating from the right side in heavy traffic. Except this the bike is a perfect companion.

@@Brk2001 I would suggest you to get Way2speed air filter. Makes a lot of difference. Engine feel’s livelier at low RPM and feels smooth and grunty at high speeds. Somehow I have not experienced any heating so far probably because of highway riding mostly. Excellent bike I must say

I own the Himalayan 450 adv. Usually, whatever you have described, is Bang on. Great tourer, with some obvious small compromises. However, i am facing this one small niggle which hasn't been resolved till date. While riding, every time the bike goes over a bump or a pot hole, there is a noise of some sort - e.g. if you take a small metal nut & bolt & put it inside a plastic container & shake, the kind of sound you get there, I get similar noise. However, it's not a huge sound & with your helmet on, most probably you will not even realise it unless you pay attention. The funny part is, it's been more than 3 months now & the service center hasn't been able to resolve it. I am not sure if it is because of the cone set or because of the engine guard accessory which I have put from the showroom while buying the bike. One thing is, the noise reduced a lot after I introduced the metal bush to the engine guard, initially the showroom had cut corners & didn't provide that with the engine guard.

Why don't you go to another service center ? Even I had a similar issue but it was resolved in the 1st service.

The speed limit here in New Zealand is 100km/hr. Would changing the sprocket sizes work so it does it doesn’t vibe at that cruising speed?
@ackodrive
@ackodrive Ай бұрын
You could try that as it is more to do with the engine revs between 4500-5500rpm. If you manage to tweak the gear ratios to calm the vibrations down at 100, do let us know the way you've gone about it

Can you please tell what are engine issue ?, expect vibration at 100-120km and lack of initial tork below 3k rpm
@ackodrive
@ackodrive Ай бұрын
90/95-110kmph is where the max vibes are, low end torque can be overlooked if you ride it spiritedly but vibes are still a bother.

Who says that the clutch is light and smooth , I own one and trust me it's not what a slipper clutch is, it's damn hard and if you are struck in traffic get ready for some finger gymnasatics. At least RE's can't beat the japaneese in the slipper clutch game.
