Nitin Ji, I just got my meteor delivered last week. It’s about 120 kms as of now. But I am getting a katak katak noise from the chain. It stops after I hit 4th gear in higher rpms. Could it be chain slack or timer issue ? How come a new vehicle has chain slack please ?

Brother please find below the answer to your questions. 1 Every 500 Km we should clean and lube the chain. '2 Both the cans cost around 800RS ( 500 for RE cleaner and 300 for lube motul) 3 chain cleaing happends around 5-7 times and lube around 5 times easily.

M huge fan of yours but in this vlog I guess using diesel instead of chain cleaner is better option n gear oil 90 is far economic than Motul moreover it won't attract dirt if u use less n just required quantity. Gear oil 90 is being used by most of the experienced Enfield owners since ages. Using Motul n other expensive brands r just mostly advertised by paid vloggers. Like WD40 is very useful but if see the composition u ll find kerosene in it. So sometimes desi jugad r far better than chasing brands. We Indians used to brush with salt, lemon, datun, charcoals etc before 100yrs, then colgate came claming it's best. Now colgate n other brands encourage salt, lemon, charcoals etc in it so desi jugad was basically best option as it's tested n proven by our elders. I just request u to see the composition of the cleaner n lube u use then u ll switch to the basics. Just a suggestion n pls don't b offended as I als appreciated ur other vlogs n honest efforts which r very useful for common man.

Brother gear oil has been used for ages but the chain technology has now changed , the chains earlier were pure metal chains but now these chains have rubber O rings in them which swell when prolong used with the gear oil as gear oil is a hot oil and has a tendency to distruct , rubber , plastic and painted parts , thats why a lube is better as lube does not has the distructive tendancy . Hope it justifies the point 🙏🙏

Brother that's not right after lube if you apply cleaner the lube will wash away .

brother brush cleaning should be avoided as the brush bristles tend to push the mud and dirt more towards the O-ring on the chain which shortens the life of the chain , clean with spray wait fo it to dry out , clean with a cloth and apply lube thats it.

Brother that's a myth motul is recommended by brands like suzuki and kawasaki so we can trust on it blindly , the onlt reason i dont use motul cleaner is that the quantity is very less and the price is high . Gear oil 90 is a desi jugaad and it will stick more dirt everywhere.

Dont buy cleaner and lubricant from outside, Royal Enfield store gives the chain maintenance kit, which contains 2 cleaners and 1 lubricant.

Sir even in that case you hand could be prone to get injury if you are not quick to remove the reason i say to do with engine start is quick process , less wastage of lube and cleaner and even application everywhere .moreover the spray is done from a distance no need to go very near the chain sprocket.
