Royal Enfield recently launched Scram 411 in India. Priced between ₹2.03 lakh and ₹2.08 lakh (ex-showroom), the Scram 411 is designed to be a touring-friendly version of the Himalayan offroader. The two motorcycles have a lot in common, including the engine, performance specs, braking hardware, and even cycle parts. With that set, the Scram 411 has several elements that differentiate it from RE Himalayan. To begin with, the Scram gets a scrambler-styled design sans a windscreen and vibrant colour options that set it apart from its adventure-motorcycle sibling. Right Scram is more agile, when I took the test ride, I could easily move the bike through small gaps, Himalayn can be moved but not with the same ease as Scram.You are right sir, if any one wishes to travel long, distance, a bit of off roading or even harsh Himalayan is good.scram is more of city ride but can be taken on long distance no issues

It's very easy to review off road bikes here in India. As most of roads are offroads so you don't need to go in search of muds Or bumby surfaces.

if you want to cruise at higher speed on highways and more interested to do cornering with bike . Then go for Interceptor. But little difficult to do off-road. on the other hand if you are a relax kind of rider want to cruise between 80 to 100 kmp then go for Scram 411. And you can go for off-road . In the city speed doesn't matter, cause you can't ride at high speed. So scram 411 will be good option and it gives you good mileage than interceptor 650. Mind you interceptor is very good bike. But all depends upon you. Basically Aapki need kya hai day to day life me bike se. Choose according to that only.

No .bcoz if Himalayan 450 launch in India it take time to have more coustomer focus .if u take Himalayan 411 it took a bit time to take a place on people heart so Himalayan 411 won't be discontinued even if Himalayan 450 is launched

Scram 411 is useless. Specially due to stiffer suspension and lesser suspension travel Himalayan is far better due to it's softer suspension and larger wheel. Adding inbuild off-road accessibility adapters, etc

Rear suspension same , front in 10mm shorter in lenght, So not much of a difference in stiffness. Yeah slight stiff compare to Himalayan.

they should have put 200cc engine in scram with mileage of 40kmpl under 2L on road price for entry into RE. I see no point in having 411cc city bike

i think new 350 cc j series engine is right choice for this bike. it is refined engine , low heat , we will get good mileage too. alloy wheels with tubeless tyres are right choice for city. if this can go upto 120 kmph, we need windshield for long rides.
