Royal Enfield Wheel Covers | Didn’t go as I planned..

Didn’t go as I planned but both success and failure are part of experience even though it gets frustrating but one shouldn’t stop till they are satisfied with the outcome. This attempt failed on me but the hard work didn’t go to waste as I learned few tricks through the process.
The reason I wanted to use this material as it was transparent and I could paint it chrome to match the rest of the styling but bad luck.
Currently, working on a design which will work far better than this.

Wondering if you are going to tackle this again. Wire spiked wheels have a lot of deflection and not as ridgid as we'd expect; and take a beating, with them being unsprung. Also, rotating mass would be massive and if it goes at speed, can cause lots of damage. Would look dope tgough.

Thanks for watching @Adrian! I completely agree with the rotating mass and few other things I was considering last time which were not up to the design. Im definitely going to tackle this again, my game plan this time is to swap the rear wheel with alloy wheel that way I don’t have to worry about the spikes cuz with spikes it’s gets tough to align the holes for the cover plate. Couple benefits I see with alloy wheel, first I can run tubeless tires so getting it plugged will be easy in future. Second, alloy spokes will be far apart so easier to line the holes of cover plate. This time I’m working on a design to add spacers in the middle of cover plates where the bolts will go thru, that should be more rigid and wont bend or crack the material, however, just need to find the most lightest yet durable material for cover plates. I’m thinking to give thin aluminum sheet a go and see how it works.
