I was in Sarajevo Bosnia from December 1995 to June as REME VE LAD to 7 Signal regt although the unit was there until December 1996 ....it was a great time in my life , great unit , great mates ..we were based at the Zetra ice stadium and at the Hotel Therme other side of the city ,Zetra ice stadium where in the 1984 winter Olympics Torville and Dean won their gold medal ........we had two Royal Signals suicides..Maxwell and Martindale and one of the Royal Engineers Core Lighting Troop windy Miller was shot in the face driving down sniper alley across the city . I served in Kosovo in 2000 and got PTSD from being involved with he mass graves exhumations from the genocide and a few other incidents .....it was a horrible tour and so many arseholes in the REME battalions .....
