Actually, if a woman marries a king, she would become the Queen. This is because back then, a man had 'more power' than a woman. So if a man was given the king title he would outrank her, that is why a man is a Prince Consort, and a female becomes the Queen.

She was looking for princess consort because what if she wanted a queen sim to marry a female sim. If this were to happen that sim’s title should technically be princess consort since she does not outrank the Queen.

That’s technically only true for a few countries, most notably the UK.

I’m pretty sure why the Queen’s brother had the selection of permission to propose is because royals have to ask the monarch for permission to propose to whoever they want to propose to because the monarch needs to approve of it.

I was just confused because the queen’s brother is already married😅 Kiara said that wasn’t supposed to happen and fixed it in the update!

Wow, thanks KZbin for randomly suggesting this video! I had no idea there were royalty mods for the sims 4! I was the author of the first Royal Kingdom Challenge for the Sims 2 way back in the early 2000's and had to just imagine all these features back then. Though a few creators made some jobs that were compatable with the social system of a monarchy back then. This has gotten me excited to try these mods and recreate my first kingdom in the sims 4!

You'll maybe be interested to learn that there are actually medieval social caste traits on Tumblr that were made to work with that challenge... a lot of cool stuff has happened in the sims 2 community since then for sure.

The royalty mod the rest of use just got updated; it’s patreon only for a couple weeks but has knights & nobles update. Hoping they work well together

The new feature that I read about is a custom trait that says here your royal is from like “royal from Windenburg” Tile of thing

I haven’t actually played Sins 4 since early 2020 but when I do go back to it I think I’ll stick to the other mod. I like inheritable titles plus that mod has had a while to be fine tuned. And also there’s too much stuff that needs to be downloaded separately here

I was not aware of there being a new royalty mod! Thank you for showing how it works, and in comparison to the older Royalty mod. The fact that Royal Family acts as if it is only one royal family and one nation is interesting, and something I can imagine be useful for others playing with royal families. Like how They could be one monarch over the entire simworld, but each World is governed by a prince or duke, making each world a duchy or principality. Some cultures did not give prince titles automatically to the monarch’s children, it would have to be earned. Mostly due to NANDO’s upcoming Norwegian fjord-world-mod, I am reminded of how King Harald sent and annointed kings and chiefs to rule over parts of Norway, but he himself was their High-King. The idea of royal members asking the monarch for permissions sound like a juicy storytelling machine, though! Even if it is 100% random, there would be drama with some of your characters asking the monarch (since, from what I understand in the British royalty, all family members must ask permission if they are within seventh in line for the throne), and the monarch said no. The DRAMA you would come up with, especially if the character went behind their back to marry anyway, would they elope to another kingdom, or would the monarch be forced to exile them? Or would they change the rules to support them? It could potentially mean quite a lot of trouble (I cannot help but imagine Amira rejecting Caspian after ALL THIS DRAMA for them to be together!), though XD Thanks for a new video!

@@Penamesolen typically an East Asian Emperor has a main wife, the Empress and many other consorts who may or may not be crowned Queen, depending on the region in the past

@Wazowski Haha, I watch a bunch of Asian period dramas, and though they are most likely verrry dramatized, I am familiar with harems and concubinages. My own different royal families follow different versions of that, too. It's just that I haven't heard of a second wife being called queen in an imperial harem; multiple empresses, sure, and multiple queens if there is not an empress, yes. But not that both. So I wanted to confirm if it was polygamy or if they meant that the Emperor had a wife who was both Empress and Queen... even though when I reread it, grammar dictates that they were two XD

I use UI cheats to add more traits to my sims. Just right click on traits in game, and then I add what I think fit my sims. :) Much easier than mc command center.

There's been some updates, LlazyNeiph's mod specifically, and I was wondering if you were planning on making a video on that difference in the mod now sometime in the future. Also, I started making my own royal family but since my Mac makes me play on Legacy edition, I was hoping you could suggest which royalty mod I should install? I believe there isn't a princess consort option because irl there is none. Well, more like it isn't used. Princesses who marry a King/Queen are just princesses unless appointed the Queen Regnant title (not regent, that one refers to a queen momentarily controlling stuff while the monarch is away and I'm only saying this because I hear you mixing it up sometimes). I only ever see the word 'consort' being attached to a female consort's title in Chinese monarchy. However, a prince is specified as prince consort (Idr why but they just are) once marrying a monarch. I understand though that the modern monarchy is old timey so of course they wouldn't have bent the rules to include more diverse titles, and I also understand that you have a more new age way of playing so ignore this comment, I just wanted to clarify as to why you don't really see those titles. Also I love your series. I only started last week but I've been binging all the videos because I've always loved royal themed movies and shows! Much love and I wish you the best on your current and future endeavors!! ❤️

Also download Seasons Tuner otherwise season specific outfits will wreck the immersion for any medieval setting you're going for.

So sorry this is a very late response. But there can be a monarchy and also a government! The monarch of that country could have had appointed a mayor in that world, to take care of the more political side. Hope that helps ❤

So, I downloaded everything for this mod, making sure I wasn't missing anything, but when I booted my game and played my Sims, they couldn't interact with each other... like, playing as my Sim, I would click on her lover, and the pie menu for conversations wouldn't come up, no matter how many times I clicked on him. Every other pie wheel would work, like when I click on the computer, or the fridge, but I cannot interact with any other sim besides the sim I'm controlling. If someone could isolate the problem and inform me of the best course of action to get rid of it, I would be most appreciated. Please comment your diagnoses. ^u^ Thank you.

Can somebody tell me things that may happen if I don't have City Living?? 17:00 - And Dame/Knight too. And they could give an Empress/Emperor but it's okay with king/queen only. But I really need Baron/Baroness and Marquess/Marchioness. Plus it would be nice if a trait "tyrant" was added, and it would make every other sim be frightened and composed in front of the said ruler.
