We do have similar things. Cuz We learn some old Korean grammars(like formals or pronunciations) or some words cuz we have old Korean literatures in Korean language SAT. We learn these in high school. which means..yes, it would burn your brain cells. it’s even hard for Koreans. Old words are very different or it has Chinese characters that modern people don’t use so it’s hard to understand it without dictionary explanations. I recommend it to learn it after you speak Koreans like natives. Even though you mastered it, it would be very hard because Koreans hear old expressions from media from a really young age, but unless you’re not a native, it’s pretty useless to have those book. in brief: we have those old Korean language books for students. But it means even natives can’t understand it.

I love the way we spoke back then! It was so elegant and respectful. Joseon is actually one of the rare country that really respected women during that time. Even the husband spoke in honorific to the wife. To show the respect for the wife :) OOOOh maybe I should make the book... LOL

LOL I thought Chinese people got rid of many of their traditional culture through cultural revolution? Chinese politicians themselves chose to abolish some of the beautiful traditions that came down from confucians and ancestors. Good thing that some Chinese people with common sense managed to spare few things from being destroyed, but they sure ain't your mommy and daddy. You're just jealous that K-pop and dramas are doing so well, but your industry will thrive as well without all those censorship, oh but are you even allowed to comment in KZbin? Hah your just nipple obsessed creep. crawl back into your cave and stop shaming other Chinese people who are not like you.

During the shila era chinese clothing was indeed adopted by Korea due to main exports of chinese silks. China was also one of the more powerful commerce which influenced many korean styles. But when Korea sought independence they began to develop a new style hence the hanbok. Why is the hanbok so drastically different from the Chinese clothing? It has do to with the waist line. Chinese clothing if you can obviously see, accentuate the waists line as much as possible as well as using silks, but the hanbok abolish it completely and use a stiffer coarser material. The designs are completely different in both design and material used. And although chinese did have the upper hand in the beginning, towards the goreyo era I believe Korea became far more independent and outstanding. But in the end both nations fell to the might of the tiny nation that was Japan. If anyone was anyone's slaves it was that most Asian nations including China and Korea were the slaves of Japan due to not only terrorism of war and the kidnap and torture of young girls forced to become comfort women for japanese soldiers.

The number of claws of the dragon on the red grown 袞龍袍 is inaccurate. Korean kings were only allowed to use dragons with 4 claws. The five-claw dragon is reserved for the Chinese Emperor. Only during the Korean Empire period were 5 claws used.

I hope CCP netizens stop distorting Korea's history and culture. Before Ming Dynasty, Mongols ruled China. Mongolians liked Goryeo(old Korea) sheep. Goryeo hanbok, which was popular in the Yuan Dynasty, is being insisted on as Ming Dynasty Hanfu these days. I heard that hanfu is the traditional costume of the Han people? But why do they wear hanbok, which was popular among Mongolian royalty and nobles? In fact, I had never even heard the word Hanfu 2000 years ago. I am disgusted with the CCP's greedy policy of integrating ethnic minorities. Free tibet! Free Uyghur! Goguryeo kingdom, Taekwondo, Kimchi, Hanbok, Hangeul, Seollal are Korean.

Guess what, most of the hanboks you can try in the studios in Korea, are based on the 18th to 19th century, and limited by the designs from the dramas. Most of Korean people don't know how does hanbok in before 18~19th century, and the government even don't try to promulgate the forms of them.
