The older man is not Gustaf V of Sweden, but Princess Astrid’s father Prince Carl, Duke of Västergötland, who is the King’s younger brother. The woman is Prince Carl’s wife, Princess Ingeborg (née of Denmark), sister of Christian X of Denmark and Haakon VII of Norway.
